Smoke of Herbs
Cures Catarrh.
A Simple, Safe, Reliable Way and It
Costs Nothing to Try.
This preparation of herbs, leaves,
flowers and berries (containing no
tobacco or habit-forming drugs) is
either smoked in an ordinary clean
pipe or smoking tube, and by drawing
the medicated smoke into the mouth
and inhaling into the lungs or sending
it out through the nostrils in a per
fectly natural way, the worse case of
Catarrh can be eradicated.
It is not unpleasant to use, and at
the same time it is entirely harmless,
and can be used by man, woman or
child.
Just as Catarrh is contracted by
breathing cold or dust and germ-laden
air, just so this balmy antiseptic smok
ing remedy goes to all the affected
parts of the air passages of the head,
nose, throat and lungs. It can readily
be seen why the ordinary treatments,
such as sprays, ointments, salves,
liquid or tablet medicines fail —they
do not and can not reach all the af
fected parts.
If you have catarrh of the nose,
throat or lungs, choking, stopped-up
feeling, colds, catarrhal headaches;
if you are given to hawking and spit
ting, this simple yet scientific treat
ment should cure you.
An illustrated book which goes thor
oughly into the whole question of the
cause, cure and prevention of catarrh
will, upon request, be sent you by Dr.
J. W. Blosser, 32 Walton Street, At
lanta, Ga.
He will, also, mail you five days’
free treatment. You will at once see
that it is a wonderful remedy, and as
it only costs one dollar for the regular
treatment, it is within the reach of
everyone. It is not necessary to send
any money—simply send your name
and address and the booklet and free
trial package will be mailed you im
mediately.

The World’s Search for a Man
of the Lord to go over the*desert way,
found the eunuch sitting in the chari
ot reading the Scriptures. And Phil
lip approached hi mand asked, “Un
derstandest thou what thou readest?”
And the eunuch said, ‘‘How can I ex
cept some man should guide me?”
And, my friends, today God is
searching for men. Among this as
sembly of men tonight God is moving,
searching for a man that through that
man He may teach the world His
standards.
Then God needs men that He may
get His other man. You know, the
method of God, for reaching men has
always been through men. For back to
the days when John preached and de
clared concerning Jesus, “Behold the
Lamb of God!” You remember there
stood by one who heard him speak,
and beheld Jesus, and he became fired
with anxiety to tell some one, and re
membering he had a brother, Simon,
who had never seen Him, he made
straight for Simon and brought him
to Jesus.
You remember another case, that
of Philip. He saw Jesus, and beheld
His glory and immediately he went
out and found Nathaniel and brought
him unto Jesus.
And just as it was true in those days
so it is true today. My friends, I come
more and more to disregard the oc
casional revival as the proper method
for saving this world. I do not for a
moment disprove of holding revivals,
but I want to offer a word of criticism
concerning the method of the Church
that depends upon an annual or semi
annual or occasional revival to bring
men to Christ. God’s method of win
ning this world is through men in their
contact with their brothers.
My friends, I can speak out of my
own experience to a great extent. I re
member a few years ago returning
from another part of this country,
where I had been conducting a series
of evangelistic meetings, and a mem
ber of this Church met me at the sta
tion and said: “We have got twenty
people for you to baptize tonight. We
Fruit Crops must be Nourished to Yield
Fruit crops take plant foods from your soil just as do cotton, com,
tobacco, wheat, oats, vegetables, rice, sugar cane, peanuts or any other
crop. Not only do your trees need fertilizer, but they need the best
to be had. You will make no mistake in buying and using
Virginia-Carolina
High-Grade
Fertilizers
They will give fruit trees just what they are hungering so
enables them to produce their utmost. Apply 15 or 20 lbs. of these
fertilizers per tree —spread around from eighteen inches to two feet
away from the tree, according to its’size —working them into the soil
about the roots. They will wonderfully increase the yield —if the
pruning, spraying and cultivation has been properly and carefully
done.
Our 1912 Year Book will interest all fruit growers. A copy will
be sent free to you upon request. It may help you to pay off a mort
gage or buy another farm.

got them in cottage prayer meetings
that we held. We have had five or six
prayer meetings this week, and dur
ing them twenty people were saved.”
And that Wednesday night I took
twenty people into the water and bap
tized them. They were all converted
under lay men and women.
This is the’ work that God wants
His people to be doing, and this is the
work that His Church has got to enter
upon, and it will be this kind of work
that will bring about in this country
that long thought-of and prayed-for re
vival. And it is the only thing that
will do it. So long as we sit still and
wait and wait and wait for the com
petent evangelists, with their machin
ery, the nation, and the Church will
die more and more.
A friend of mine in a great city of
this country, pastor of a great Pres
byterian Church, got concerned about
the lack of soul-winning in his Church.
Calling the elders of the Church to
gether, he talked with these men until
his heart nearly broke, and he could
talk no more. And, my friends, you
dont know how a pastor’s heart nearly
breaks some times about matters of
this kind. He said, “Brethren, unless
this Church changes its methods, and
becomes more a soul-winning center,
I have got to leave it, though I have
been with you now more than twelve
years.” Then they began to talk and
try to encourage him, and reminded
him of the big sums of money they
gave to missions, and the splendid
building that they had. “But,” said
he, “that does not satisfy the longings
of my heart; men are not being saved,
and I am not responsible.”
Then he began to ask these elders,
one after another, if they had ever
saved a single soul, as an agent of
God? Not a one of them could re
member that they had ever done such
a thing. Then he asked, “Will you men
covenant with me to get down upon
your knees and promise God to try
and win one man during this week
to Jesus?” And the ruling elder was
the first man to do so; then another

finally they went home. Next morn

his office saw his bookkeeper, who had

thought struck him “that man is not

the door gently, then went up to the
