Florida will take an inventory of her
assets and liabilities at a mect;nqi
orening here tomorrow. : ‘
Leaders in their respective lincsé
will discuss the state’s financial as-|

and her transportation facilities.
Other speakers will outline her trans
portation needs, her marketing prob
lemes arnd other nerplexities.
Governor John W, Martin and
cther directors of state activities will
he among the zpeakers. - !
Bank presidents will discusg the
financial assets. The state commis
sioner of agriculture will touch up
on the utilization of her agricultural
and industrial = assets. The _state
marketing commissioner will outline
marketing problems, and railroad
and steamship officials will tell of
Florida’s transportation facilities
and her transportation needs.
Committees will be appointed to
consider various problems presented.

18 months Johnt Smith, Herrin Klans
man and a figure in Tuesday’s
shooting, has slept in his garage in a
bed shielded- by bullet-proof metal

Surveying the bullet-riddled garage
where began the gun war yesterday
in which three Klansmen and three
of the anti-Klan faction were slain.
Smith declared that he favors mar
tial law and the dizarming of both
csides to end the strife. The Klans
men had notified his enemies he said
that liquor raiding had been halted
in the intérest of pedce. e
