Adds 17 Fduculors,
Caldwell Announces
Partial relief of the teacher
shortage at the University wan re
vealed liy President Harmon W.
Caldwell this week with the addition
of 17 educators to poHltiona on the
faculty. They are aa follows:
Miss Inez Miller, formerly of the
University of Maine, was added as
Instructor of psychology.
Miss llarbara Haviland. new as
sistant of nursing education, held
the rank of lieutenant J. g. In the
Navy where she served as supervisor
of the senior cadet nurse corps In a
Navy hospital. She had previously
taught at lloston City Huspltal.
Harrington lax'khart Flanigan,
retired Army colonel, became In
structor In mathematics here.
Colonel Flanigan, a West Point
graduate, had extensive teaching ex
perience In the Army and was for
merly on the staff of the military
department at the Georgia School of
Technology.
Hruce C. Ogllvle, assistant profes
sor of geography, was employed as
chief cartographer and assistant to
tho chief geographer for TWA Air
lines. During the war he served as
a cartographer with the OHS and the
Navy Hydrographic Office.
Miss Elizabeth Armstrong, assist
ant professor of home economics,
comes to Georgia from Wesleyan
College where she headed the de
partment of home economics.
Gregor Sebba, associate professor
of economics, graduated from the
University of Innsbruck, Austria,
and received advanced graduate
training at the University of Vienna.
During the war he served with the
Ilrltlsh War Office and tlu' Office
of strategic Services Mr. Sebba re
ceived his American citizenship In
September, lit4.t.
Added to the faculty of the School
of lluslness Administration was Har
ry W. Moorehouse, professor of eco
nomics and assistant director of the
bureau of business research. Mr.
Moorehouse comes with experience
as president of the Farmer's Coope
rative Marketing Association of
California, dean of tha School ol
Commerce at Oklahoma A. & M., di
rector of economic research for the
American Farm llureuu Federation,
president of the llrookmlro Eco
nomic Service, and principal econo
mist with the U. S. Department of
Agriculture.

Hardman Chapter Order of DeMolays
next Wednesday night, 8 p. m., at the
local Masonic Hall, was extended to
day by Weaver Bridges, advisor of
the local chapter.
The meeting will consist of in
stallation of officers, conducted by
local Masons, and several short talks
by both old and new members of the
chapter.
The ceremony, originally schedul
ed for last Wednesday night, was
postponed until next week because of
Interior decorating work that is be
ing done at the Masonic Temple.

Initiation for membership in Pi Mu
Epsilon, national honorary mathe
matics fraternity, will be held Tues
