Air Force at the end of the i
first summer session.
The new officers, commis-1
sioned second lieutenants by
Lt. Col. John D. Bowden, Jr„
professor of Air Science, are
Frank Haynes Richardson,
Athens, and Thomas L. Arm
strong, of Jackson.
Both men were seniors in the
Advanced Air Force ROTC Pro
gram the past year and have
completed degree requirements
at the University.
Lt. Richardson was a Cadet
Lt. Colonel and Group Com
mander in the 160th AFROTC
Cadet Wing in 1963-64. As a

Lt. Richardson is a member
of the Arnold Air Society, Del
ta Tau Delta social fraternity,
and a regular member of the
Georgia golf team.
Lt. Richardson will report to
active duty with the Air Force
in September at Lowry Air
Force Base, Denver, Colorado.
Lt. Armstrong served this
past year as an administrative
officer in the 160th Air Force
ROTC Cadet Wing. He held the
rank of Cadet Mujor in the
Corps.
Lt. Armstrong is a member
of the Arnold Air Society and
the Alpha Gamma Rho social
fraternity.
He is scheduled to report to
Eglin Air Force Base, Florida,
in early August for duty ns an
Air Police Officer with the
Strategic Air Command's 39th
Bomb Wing.
