an engineering school to
the University, he said he
is confident the Board of
Regents will approve the
plan because “it’s a sound

Student arrested after
parking in intersection
A University student
was charged with driving
under the influence
Wednesday after a witness
contacted police about a
car stopped in the middle
of the road with someone
inside it, according to an
Athens-Clarke County
police report.
Officers approached
Jordan Dickinson Henry,
23, at about 11:30 p.m.
after getting a call that a
car was parked near the
middle of the intersection
of Pulaski Street and
Hancock Avenue. The
report states Henry was
leaving his vehicle when
officers arrived, and told
them he had been at work
and had one drink.
After failing the breath
test and various balance
tests, Henry was trans
ported to Clarke County
jail, according to the
report.
