GIRL SCOUTS IN AUGUSTA GIVE “AUNT JEMIMA” PAR i Y—Seven Girt Scouts of Troop 6, from
St. Mary’s-on-The-Hill parish in Augusta, dubbing themselves the "Aunt Jemima Patrol,” gave a pan
cake supper, the proceeds of which were contributed to the funo which is being raised for the purpose
of erecting a Catholic hospital in Augusta. The flour used in preparing the pancakes which were serv
ed at the supper was given to the patrol by J. M. Roseff, district manager of the Quaker Oats Company,

Sponsor Pan Cake Party
AUGUSTA, Ga. — When one of
the patrols of Girt Scout Troop
No. 6, of St. Mary’s-on-The-Hill
parish, chose the ame Aunt Je
mima to designate the'- group,
they attracted the attention of J.
M. Roseff, district manager of the
Quaker Oats Company, in Atlanta.
Pleased with theii choice, Mr.
RoseH notified the Girl Scouts
that ! xvas sending them, with
the compliments of his company,
the manufacturers, a case of Aunt
Jemima Pancake Flour, so that
each member of the patrol might
receive a box.
Just about that time there xvas
launched in Augusta a campaign
tp raise $250,000 toward the cost
of erecting a Catholic hospital in
this city, and the Aunt Jemima Pa
trol asked Mr. Rosel'f’s permission
to use Die flour for a benefit sup
per in order that their group
might make a donatio' to the
hospital fund in an amount xvhlch
xvould list them among its Found
ers.
Mr. Roseff not only agreed, but
sent along another ease of Aunt
Jemima flour, and invited the
girls to call on him if they needed
more
■ On the evening of February 6,
at St. Mary's parish hall, the seven
Girl Scouts of the Aunl Jemima
