DCCW Mini-Retreat
“Connecting with God” is the theme of the third annual mini-retreat spon
sored by the Savannah Diocesan Council of Catholic Women to be held on
October 14 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 250 S
Davis Dr., Warner Robins. Father Timothy Donahue, of Saint Anne Church,
Columbus, will conduct the scripture study. Father Fred Nijem, pastor of Sacred
Heart Church, will conduct the Holy Hour. Kathry Godbold of Saint Teresa’s,
Albany, will talk on the Blessed Mother; Mary Lindsay Skinner of Sacred Heart
is in charge of the music. Members, husbands, friends and teens are cordially
invited to come.

12, but no one will be turned away.
Cabrini Italian Dinner
Columbus Deanery CCW
Our Lady of Lourdes Council of Catholic Women will host the Columbus
Deanery Fall Luncheon Meeting on October 15. Mass will be celebrated at
11:00 a.m. in the Church. Registration will be at noon, followed by lunch in
the Parish Hall. The General meeting will follow lunch, provided by Our Lady
of Lourdes’ members. Our Lady of Lourdes Church is located at 1953 Torch
Hill Road, Columbus.

Saint Benedict the Moor Fall Festival
The Fall Festival at Saint Benedict the Moor Church is set for Saturday,
October 21, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.in the rectory / school yard at 556
East Gordon Street, Savannah. There will be rides for the children, food
booths, a country store, bake sale, games and lots of fun. All are welcome.
The Annual Italian Dinner and Craft Sale at Saint Frances Cabrini Catholic
Church, 11500 Middleground Rd., Savannah, will be held on October 14,
from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eat in, take out or use the convenient drive-thru.
The Craft Sale will last from from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Father Mitchell Pacwa, S.J. to Speak
The Alleluia Catholic Fellowship, Augusta, will sponsor a day-long reflec
tion on Saint Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians, “Praising God and Community
Life,” by Father Mitchell Pacwa, S.J., on October 21 at Saint Joseph Church
on Lumpkin Road. The day will begin with 8:00 Mass followed by a continen
tal breakfast. The day will conclude at approximately 3:00. Child care for chil
dren under five will be provided by the Alleluia Catholic Fellowship.

“Undoing Racism”
“Undoing Racism”, a workshop sponsored by the Diocese of Savannah, the
Office of African American Ministry and Catholic Social Services, and con
ducted by “The People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond,” will be offered
November 3-5 at Sacred Heart Parish in Warner Robins.
