in prayer and will bear the leg
end "Peregrins Apostolicus in
Terra Sanaa" (The Apostolic
Pilgrim in the Holy Land).
The J o r d a n government,
meanwhile has set up a special
committee headed by the Prime
Minister to supervise various
aspects of the Pope’s visit and
to facilitate his stay and those
of pilgrims and tourists

Christmas season.
While the complete schedule
of the Pope's visit was not yet
available, it was learned Dec.
12, that the Pontiff will

night at the headquarters of the
Apostolic Delegation in Jor
danian Jerusalem, On Jan. 5
he is to cross over into Israe
li Jerusalem via the Mandel
baum Gate. Then he will travel
north to Nazareth and offer
Mass at the Church of the An
nunciation. After visits to pil
grimage points in Nazareth and
along the shore of the nearby
Sea of Galilee, he will return
to Jerusalem and reenter Jor
dan. He is expected to spend the
second night of his visit with the
Franciscans of the Custody of
the Holy Land.
