13 - The Serra Club of Atlanta will meet on Thursday, June 13, 12:15
p.m. at the Dinkier Plaza Hotel. Father Noel C. Burtenshaw,
chancellor of the archdiocese, will be guest speaker. His topic:
“Status of Vocations.”
- The general meeting of Cathedral Club of Atlanta will be held on
Sunday, June 16, in the Cathedral Center, following 5:30 p.m.
Mass in church. All interested young adults of the archdiocese
invited.

13 - Atlantans for Peace will meet on Thursday, June 13, noon, at
Bradshaw’s Penthouse Cafeteria. Dialogue with George Blau, newly
elected chairman.
14 - “The Changing Church,” part four, (pre-emptied last week) will be
telecast on Friday, June 14, 6:10 a.m. WSB-TV, channel 2, The
Catholic Hour-TV is produced by the National Council of Catholic
Men in association with the Public Affairs Dept, of the National
Broadcasting Company.
15 - The Men’s Club of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Smyrna, will
sponsor the first parish annual dance at the new parish Center,
3300 King Springs Road on Saturday, June 15, 9 p.m. Music
furnished by Lanny Frye’s orchestra. Donation, $3 per couple.
Members of other parishes invited.
15 - Cathedral Club of Atlanta (for single adults) will hold its athletic
events and box supper on Saturday, June 15, at Chastain Park, grill
11, 2 p.m. Supper at 5:30 p.m.

16 - A conference on open housing will be held at Holy Spirit parish
Center, 4449 Northside Dr., sponsored by St. Dunstan’s Church, on
Sunday, June 16, 8 p.m. A panel discussion will include, a
theologian, lawyer, mortgage banker and realtor.
16 - The youth division of Most Blessed Sacrament parish council will
meet on Sunday, June 16, 10 a.m. in the cafetorium.
16 - The Sacred Heart-TV program will present, “What is the Church
Universal?” on Sunday, June 16, 7:30 a.ntv on station WAGA-TV,
channel 5. Guest speaker will be Father Bernard Basset of London,

16 - An open house will be held at the rectory of Sacred Heart Church
on Sunday, June 16, 3-5 p.m., to welcome Father David Patterson
and to bid farewell to Father Thomas Kenny.
16 - Community of Christ Our Brother will meet on Sunday, June 16,
10:30 a.m. (instead of 5:30 p.m.) at the Bethlehem Center, corner
of University and Capitol Ave., located in Gammon Theological

18 - The Guild of St. Paul will meet on Tuesday, June 18, 7:30 p.m. in
the assembly room of Sacred Heart Church, 335 Ivy St., N.E.
19 - Our Lady Queen of Heaven Curia, Legion of Mary of the
archdiocese, will meet on Wednesday, June 19, 8 p.m. in the
assembly room of the parish house. Executive board meeting at 7
p.m. at Sacred Heart Church.
19 - A rosary for peace will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 10 a.m.
(and repeated at 7:30 p.m.) and each Wednesday thereafter, at
Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 2855 Briarcliff Road, N.E.
21 - A concelebrated Mass will be held at Cathedral of Christ the King
on Friday, June 21,. 8 p.m., in honor of Bishop Joseph L.
Bernard in. A reception will follow in the Cathedral Center for all.
