The Devils and Devilettes
upped their record December

In the girls game, high scor

The game was really pressure-

What Happened
BY TRACEY EDWARDS
Christmas has been fully
commercialized! Special paper,
cards and decorations have been
designed to make money, mon
ey, and more money. The ulti
mate thing is the artificial
Christmas tree. They have white
ones, silver ones, and even red
ones. Whatever happened to
a real Christmas tree and home
made popcorn and cranberry
streamers?
People give and receive pres
ents. Children make mile long
lists about what they want from
Santa Claus. Shoppers find
themselves in the “Christmas
Rush”. Does anybody remem
ber the true meaning of Christ-,
mas?
Basically all the real reasons
of Christmas have disappeared.
Recently something happened
in 28 points. Mike Moon and
Anthony Gary both helped the
team with 16 points, each.
Three crucial baskets by Greg
Fortson helped to give the
Devils the beat that carried
them to victory. Marvin:
Denny came off of the bench to
play a good defensive game.
He also gave the Devils some
cool floor leadership.
After being pounded by a
score of 81-75 1 , Hart County
retreated to the dog pound.
Sophomore Roosevelt ‘ Tur
man racked up 31 points to
pace the victory for the B-
Team hoys.
to me to make me realize this.
I was talking to a young child
the other day. I questioned the
child about why he thought we
had Chrismas. He replied quick
ly, “You mean you don’t know?
We have Christmas so all the
good little kids like me can,
get lots and lots of presents.”
When I told him the story about
Jesus, he replied, “Nobody ever
told ine that before”. Does any
one remember?
