Basketball Players
Top Feature of Month
BY JEANIE WHITE
AND AUNDRA BOLTON
We are proud to present feel
ings and praises from the mem
bers of the Big Blue Machine.
To start with Anthony G.,
he feel® that the team is super
great and likes the way they
stick together. He says there
is no selfishness and they are
not concerned with who scores
the most. He also states that
basketball is a part of his life,
but is his second interest. He
feels that Jeanie is his first.
Then Ronnie Hood said “I’m
not shy like 1 everyone thinks
that I am”. He says “I love
women.” He also feels that we
have a fine team, and feels that
anyone, in his opinion, is cap
able of starting in the lineup.
He feels that next year’s team
will be just as great as this one.
Greg Hughes tells us that
Myra is Ibis first love and bas
ketball is second. He likes
playing basketball but feels that
he is better in football.
Ronnie Webb opens by say
ing, “I’m a very shy guy”. He
has a lot of confidence in the
team. He says that a racial
problem doesn’t exist on the
team and he keeps the “We’re
gonna win, spirit”. In asking
what he enjoyed the most, he
'Stated, “Our having a winning
season”.
Marvin' (Hot Doig) Denny
tells us that he was glad to be
a part of the team. He says
that Jackie earn© first to him,
and then Ole’ basketball. He
felt like everyone got along just
fine, especially Coach Eckler,
he’s just like one of the “boys”.
Greg Fonteon — A 5’ 10”
brown eyed handsome dude. He
think® that this year’s team is
the best team that he’s, been

hie teammates are a good group
of men to play ball with. He
has enjoyed his last year and
he would like to say “Class of
75 takes no jive, next year’s
team will be as good and even
win the state title.”
Jimmy Fortson—Has enjoy
ed being around the boys, this
has. been a very good season for
him, he has played well because
oif the good relationship with
the guys, to him basketball and
girls come first.
John Strong—Says that the
team is real good and the sen
iors have shown good senior
leadership. There is a possi
bility of a Very good team if
the good works continue from
this year, John’s hobbies in
clude playing piano, and he
would like to play college foot
ball in the future.
Roach — Says, that the
team has “strong leadership”.
Roach is a self centered per
son because he comes first in
his life. Roach also hopes; to
see next year’s team go all the
way to state.
Hambone — He says that
the team was great because
he was there as the Casanova
of all the women. He said in
stead of coming to the game to
see Hood & Gary, they came to
see Hambone and Roach. He
thinks the up-coming team will
be a good one and hopes to see
them go to state next year.
Wayne Ward—Engrossed, in
a chess game.
Hobson - Says that the
team couldn’t have done with
out him, he has. enjoyed man
aging and describes the guys as
good, but they don’t do their
best at times. He enjoyed most
of the games at half-time so
that he could eat ice, drink
cokes and comb his hair.
Mike 'MoonkiSb He says that
they like to have been great
but they didn’t win the state.
“I learned to keep my cool and
not to act a fool on the court.
Knight was cool and almost out
of eight.” He also says that he
heard through his ear that their
last game ended his career.
