in Atlanta during the 1988 Democratic National
Convention in July. The workshop will provide
participants with an outline of planned events,
including the caucus of L/G delegates and will help
suggest ways for people to participate.

"Gay Spirituality and Theology: Claiming the Past,
Envisioning the Future" Coastal Room
Facilitator: J. Michael Clark, M.Div., Ph.D.
Examines the development of resources for gay
spirituality, apart from institutionalized religion, including
mythological archetypes, the native American berdache,
gay St. Aelred's "theology of passionate friendship,"
feminist theology, and the impact of AIDS, as well as
sketching an outline for how we might develop an
assertive gay liberation theology
simultaneously drawing upon the Judeo-
Christian tradition while refuting its
homophobic institutionalized manifestations.

"Writing Plays With Your Community"

Playwright Ranson explores writing
plays with your community about issues and
concerns within the community. Ranson is the
writer of "WARREN,” one of the first AIDS
plays in the country and has developed a
method of responding to issues through the
arts.
