residing at their new home at 109 Seventh
Street, N. E. Friends will he pleased to
learn that Mr. Adler is recuperating from
injuries sustained in a recent automobile
accident.
• Mrs. F. Samuels, of Chicago, has been
the guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. \V. Rosen-
feld.
• Mrs. Leopold Haas has returned to her
home at I'en-Fiftv Ponce de Leon after
having spent the summer in Philadelphia,
Atlantic City and Canada.
• Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Oberdorfer have
returned from Chicago, where they at
tended the Century of Progress Exposi
tion.
• Mr. and Mrs. Lee Weill, of Birming
ham, spent several days in the city as
the guests of their son and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Morris liirsch.
• Misses Doris and Dorothy Samuels
have been visiting thei^ cousin, Miss
Dorothy Levy, in Knoxville, Tenn.
• Mr. and Mrs. Charles Franklin spent
several days in Albany, Ga., with their
daughter, Mrs. Julian Slager.
• Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Spit/ have spent
the past several weeks in Florida.
• Mr. and Mrs. Lyons Joel have re
turned from a visit to New York City.
• Mrs. A. W. Kosenfeid has returned
from Pensacola, Fla.
• Mrs. J. N. Hirsch and Mr. Harold
liirsch have returned from Chicago,
where they attended the World’s Fair.

York City.
• Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gershon have re
turned from Chicago, where they visited
the Century of Progress Exposition.
• Mr. Lawrence Holzman spent a week
in Montgomery as the guest of her
brother and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Kaufman.
• Mrs. Morris Moss spent several weeks
in Jacksonville, Fla., where she was called
on account of the illness of her daughter,
Mrs. Aaron Oberdorfer.
• Mr. and Mrs. Ludo Van Stavoren, Jr.,
have returned from a visit to the World’s
Fair in Chicago.
• The Augusta Section of the National
Council of Jewish Women gave a benefit
bridge party at the Woman’s Club house,
Miss Frances Wallace receiving the high
score prize.
• I*he Temple Sisterhood in Augusta en
tertained recently with a dinner party
at the Temple on Telfair Street.
• The Yudedum Club in Aiken, S. C.,
met recently at the home of Mr. William
Conrad, when election of officers took
place. The officers are: Sam Blum and
Irwin Kahn, governing committee; Dan
iel Roth, secretary; William Conrad,
treasurer.
• Mr. Joseph Lazear was elected presi
dent of the Mayfair Club, of Atlanta.
Elected to serve with him were Mr.
Simon Mendel, vice-president; Mr. Max
Feldman, secretary; Mr. Abner Hirsch,
treasurer; Messrs. Sam Levy, Sam
Hirsch, M. A. Greenhlatt, A. L. Feld
man. Sol Yudelson, Jack Weinkle, and
Drs. Joseph Yampolsky and Harry L.
Cohen, on board of governors. Mr. Men
del Romm. retiring president, was
elected ex-officio to the board of govern
ors.

• Mrs. M. Klausrnan has returned from
Chicago and Battle Creek, Mich.
• Mrs. Louis Wellhouse and Mrs. H.
Jacobs have returned to the Georgian
Terrace Hotel after spending the summer
in Atlantic City, N. J.
• Mrs. Herman Loeb, of Montgomery,
was the recent guest of Mr. and Mrs.
Seigfried Guthman and Mrs. Sam Kahn.
• Mrs. Ben Phillips and Mrs. Ed. David
have spent several weeks in New York
City.
• The Jewish Junior Council of Colum
bia, S. C., met recently with the new
officers presiding as follows: Mrs. Anne
Karesh, president; Miss Minnie Karesh,
vice-president; Miss Clara I.aviskv, sec
retary; Miss Serena Greher, correspond
ing secretary; Mrs. Sara Wengrow, treas
urer.
• Mrs. Herbert Taylor has been in Chi
cago, where she attended the Century of
Progress Exposition.
• Miss Bernice Weinberger, of Nash
ville, Tenn., was the recent guests of her
brother, Mr. Harold Weinberger.
• Mr. Armand Wyle has returned home
after spending several weeks with his
daughter, Mrs. P. H. Phillips in Erie, Pa.
• Mrs. A. Holzman is convalescing from
a recent illness at her home on Briarcliff
Road.
• Mr. Ellis Cone and Mr. Herbert Kalin
aie on a business trip to New York and
Bcston.
• Mrs. Richard Rich and daughter are
in New Orleans, La., where they are
vis’ting Mrs. Rich’s parents. 'ITiey will
stop in Atlanta to join Mr. Rich at the
Georgian Terrace Hotel before returning
to their home in New York
• Dr. and Mrs. I,mm Hohenstein, of
Savannah, have returned from a week’s
*tav in Washington, D. C., where Dr.
Hohenstein attended a dental convention.
• Mr. Harry Levine, of Chicago, is the
guest of Mr. S. Tanenhaum, of Savan
nah, (ia.
• Mr. and Mrs. Neuman Silver, for
merly of New York City, are now re
siding in Augusta, (ia.
• Mr. and Mrs. Ben F'riedtnan, of Pas
saic, N. J., were the guests of Mr. Her
man Applehaum, of Augusta, for several
days.
• Misses Hermenia and Lucille Baum,
daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Baum,
Irft recently to resume their studies. Miss
Hermenia Baum is continuing her study
of the violin at the Cincinnati Conserva
tory, Cincinnati, Ohio. Miss Lucille Baum
entered Edgewood Park School in Green
wich, Conn.
• Mrs. Sinclair Jacobs and son have
returned from a stay of several weeks in
Chicago and Lawrence, I.. I., whrre they
visited Mrs. Jacobs parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Fried.
• Miss Ragolda Jarobs, talented little
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Jacobs,
was presented in a piano recital by Mrs.
Anna Mae Farmer Nimick, director of
the Orpheus Music Club, at the Jewish
Progressive Club. An informal reception
was given by Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs fol
lowing the recital.
• 'The many friends of Mrs. Richard
Schwab will regret to learn that she was
called to New York because of the death
of her uncle.
• Mrs. Walter Visanska has returned
from Columbus she visited her son and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. F.dwin Roths
child.
• Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Haas motored
to Athens for the Georgia-N. Y. U. foot
ball game.
• Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schwartz are
now residing with their son and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Aronstam, on Lull-
water Road.
• Miss Maxine Baer, of Pensacola, Flor
ida, has been the recent guest of Mrs.
A. E. Marcus, who entertained at open
house in honor of Miss Baer. The mar
riage of Miss Baer to Mr. Harold Mar
cus will take place in January.
• Mr. and Mrs. M. Gavron, Mrs. Rob
ert Hornik, Mrs. Lilly Frankel, Miss
Hermine Wilensky and Mrs. Edith Lip-
shutz and son, Bobby, formed a congenial
group attending the Chicago World Fair
Exposition.
• Mds. Walter Kennedy hat gone to
Philadelphia where she will spend the
