Friends and relatives are in

ceremonies in memory of Mrs.
Fanny Dwoskin Rosenberg, on
Sunday, Sept. 10, at 1 p.m. at
Greenwood Cemetery. Rabbi Syd
ney K. Mossman will officiate.
MRS. ROSE ORNSTEIN
Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mrs. Rose Ornstein, mother of
Emanuel Ornstein and Mrs. Joe
Gilner, of Atlanta, died August
18. Funeral services were held at
Wyndsor Chapel, August 20 in
Brooklyn. Other survivors are
Sidney Ornstein and Mrs. Pau-'
line Ruderman, both of Brooklyn.
Israel J. Bieler
Israel J. Bieler, 73, of Atlanta
died August 23. A special Ma
sonic prayer service was held
for Mr. Bieler August 23 at Blan
chard’s Chapel. Funeral services
and interment were held August
27 in New York.
Mr. Bieler, who had lived in
Atlanta 16 years, was a member
of Compass Lodge No. 1019, F &
AM, Brooklyn.
Surviving are his wife; a son,
Martin Bieler, Atlanta; two
daughters, Mrs. David B. Clark,
Atlanta, and Mrs. Irving Fertel,
New York; two brothers, Lewis
Bisler, Miami, and Ben Bisler,
Brooklyn; and three sisters, Mrs.
Herman Lazarus, Brooklyn, Mrs.
Rhea Friedman, Miami, and Mrs.
Jack Goodstein, Los Angeles.
Feld, Texan Leader, Dies
HOUSTON, Texas, (JTA) —
Mose M. Feld, philanthropist and
Jewish communal leader, died
here last week at the age of 61.
Born in Galveston, Mr. Feld was
known as “the one-time newsboy
who became a millionaire indus
trialist
He was a fellow of Brandeis
University and a member of the
board of the National Conference
of Christians and Jews. He was
a past president of the Houston
Jewish Community Council and
was formerly chairman of the
board of the Houston United
Jewish Campaign.

Mourn Cardinal’s Death
BRUSSELS, (JTA) — Jews
here today mourned the death
of Jozef Cardinal van Roey, one
of the leading Catholic prelates,
known for the aid and protection
he gave to Belgian Jews against
Nazi persecutions during World
War II. He died here at the age
of 87.

BLOOMFIELD, N.J., (WUP)—
A K.K.K. cross was burned here
last week near a house whose
owners have agreed to sell it to
Negroes, it was disclosed here
by the police.
Psychologist Elected
MILWAUKEE, (JTA)—Dr
Herman Weil of this city has
been elected a fellow of the In
ternational Institute of Arts and
Letters in Geneva. Dr. Weil is
chairman of the Department of
Psychology and of the Honors
Program at the University of
Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
