OVS Sisterhood ’79 slate
Congregation Or VeShalom
Sisterhood will have its
installation dinner at 6 p.m.,
Sunday, April 29, at the
synagogue
Sara Grosswald, past vice
president for fund raising and
programming, will be installed as
president. She has also served as
programming vice president for
her Hadassah chapter and has
been a Federation volunteer for
several years.
Other officers to be installed
include Fran Landau, Helen
Sugarman, Esther Zipperman,
Phyllis (Albert) Cohen, Phyllis
Madans, vice presidents; Rose
Beton, treasurer; Jeanette Arogeti,

The Temple Sisterhood will
hold its annual Sisterhood
Sabbath at 8:15 p.m., Friday,
April 27, at the Temple
A Shabbat dinner will precede a
creative service with the
Sisterhood Singers.

Couples explore
marriage experience
The Jewish Marriage Exper
ience of Atlanta will hold its next
weekend from Saturday, July 7,
through Monday, July 9.
Marriage Experience programs
are designed for married couples
who want to improve the quality of
their relationships. Couples are
taught a technique for
communication as well as other
learning tools that will enhance
their potential for increased
awareness and love.
The group will have an
information night in preparation
for the weekend on Sunday, May
6, at the home of Sherry and Mark
Hersh, 1040 Terramont Drive,
Roswell.

Artist creates donor gift

incoming Southern regional
president of the Brandeis
University National Women’s
Committee, recently joined
Atlanta resident Billie Feinman.

reception at the Rose Art Museum
on the Brandeis campus.
The featured exhibit was a
David Aronson “retrospective.”
Aronson, professor of art at
Boston University School of Fine
and Applied Arts, and 1976
recipient of the National Academy
of Design’s Gold Medal Award
has created a special work for the
Women’s Committee — the
“Scholar,” a bronze bas-relief
acknowledgment gift for donors of
S3,000 or more to the library trust

Winner and Aronson
National Women's Committee is
the largest “Friends of the Library"
organization in the world. It has a
national membership of over
65,000 in 120 chapters across the
country who have, through their
substantial support, contributed to
the continued excellence of
Brandeis University.
Beth Shalom sponsors
summer camp
Congregation Beth Shalom will
be sponsoring a five-day summer
camp program for children ages
three to 10 beginning in June. The
first session will be held from June
18 through July 14, followed by the
second session on July 16 through
August 10.
The program will include arts
and crafts, field trips, and
speakers, all within a Jewish
context.
The registration deadline is
Monday, April 30.
