Moas Chitim project begins
The joyous festival of Passover will soon be here, with the first
Seder occurring on Saturday evening, April 18. Soon the
preparation will begin in Jewish homes, with the purchase of matzo
and other special foods, as well as new clothing for this traditional
and beautiful holiday.
Passover and the Exodus from Egypt have come to represent
the universal hopes for freedom, the end of oppression, and the
expression of a deep concern for the dignity of man. Hand in hand
with this spirit has been the responsibility each Jew feels for those
who lack the means to celebrate the Passover properly.
The Atlanta Moas Chitim Committee asks for community help
to assure that those in need in our Atlanta Jewish community can
also observe a happy holiday.
Contributions can be sent to the Atlanta Moas Chitim
Committee, P.O. Box 43028, Atlanta, Georgia 30336.
