The Bat Mitzva of Victoria
Ellen Sasine of Atlanta will
take place at 9 a.m. Saturday,
Feb. 23, at Ahavath Achim Syn
agogue. A congregational kid-
dush will follow.
Vicki is the daughter of Jeff
and Janice Sasine. She is the
granddaughter of Charlotte and
Harry Gordon and Irene and
Stanley Sasine, all of Atlanta.
She is the great-granddaughter
of Mrs. Elizabeth Kaplan of
Atlanta.

The Bat Mitzva of Julianne
Beth Needle of Atlanta will take
place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday,
Feb. 23, at The Temple. A cong-
gregational kiddush will follow.
Julianne is the daughter of
Valerie and Bill Needle. She is
the granddaughter of Valmore
Mopper of Savannah and the
late Jean Mopper, and Jose
phine Needle of Charleston,
S.C., and the late Mitchell
Needle.
Julianne will share her Bat
Mitzva in a twinning ceremony
with Clara Kagan of Leningrad.

Renee and Lewis Kamrass of
Cincinnati, formerly of Atlanta,
announce the birth of a daughter,
Jennifer Marlene, on Feb. 7. Grand
parents are Vivian and Alvin Slotin
of Augusta, and Anna Lee and
David Kamrass of Atlanta. Great-
grandparents are Dorothy and Ben
Zimmerman and Regina Goldman
of Atlanta, and Edith Philbin of
Ocala, Fla.

memory of her paternal great-grand
father, Jack Goldman, her mater
nal great-grandfathers Moe D. Horo
witz and Max Slotin, and her pater
nal great-great uncle, Manuel Gold
man.

The Gala recognizes Atlanta women of outstanding achieve
ments. A highlight will be an exhibit of jewelry designs by Palomi
Picasso. Proceeds will go to the Brenda Powell Smith Nursin
Scholarship Fund, which was established by the Guild in memor
of one of its charter members.

bat mitzva ceremony at 8:45 a.m.
Saturday, Feb. 23, at the syna
gogue.

The Bar Mitzva of Benjamin
Ram of Atlanta will take place at
8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at
Beth Jacob Synagogue. A congre
gational kiddush will follow.
Benjamin is the son of Jeffrey
and Diane Ram. He is the grand
son of Mrs. Betty Glickman and
Issie Ram, both of Miami Beach,
Fla.
During the ceremony, the women
will participate by reciting various
Shabbat service prayers and by ex
pressing personal thoughts on the
meaning of their study program
and their participation in the ser
vice.

Alan Cohen, group manager of
building products for Apex Supply,
an Atlanta vendor of kitchen and
bathroom fixtures, was the recip
ient of two of the top awards given
at the recent National Association
of Home Builders convention in
Houston.
The Sales and Marketing Coun
cil of the Home Builders Associ
ation of Metropolitan Atlanta, of
which Cohen is president, was se
lected as best council in the United
States. Cohen was also recognized
as Marketing Director of the Year
in the Manufacturer/ Supplier cate
gory.
A resident of Marietta, along
with his wife Barbara and children,
Cohen is the son of Sylvia and Jack
Cohen of Atlanta.
