The student body of Snolman Coll
ege recently elected eight students to
anpear in the 1958-39 edition of
■'Tap's Mho Among Students in American
Colleges and Universities.
The student's whose naraeiare pub
lished by this organization each year are
nominald -from approximately 750 colleges
and universities. Campuse^nominating
committees are instructed, in making their
selection, to consider the student's
scholarship; his participation and lead
ership in academic and extra-curricular
activities; his citizenship and service
to the school, and his promise of future
usefulness.
This organization provides a plaee-
ment or reference service to assist mem
bers seeking employment, scholarships and
fellowships.
Those students selected from Spel-
man were Lucille Fultz, ’Marilyn Francis,
Helen Kerr, Clarice ’Talker, Jeanpll Stov
all, Delores Betts, Frances Glover, and
Herschelle Sullivan.
On November ill* 1958, T 'orehouse
College held its annual Coronation serv^--
iifee in the now physical education
building. This coronation will long be
remembered for the eloquent beauty and
poise portrayed by •its'participants.
The lovely 1 'dies of the outer court and
the Royal Cortege revealed a very splen
did and colorful picture to the audi
ence- a picture which can not eas‘3 ily be
forgotten.
Among the Royal Cortege were Dorothy

" iss Kappa Alpha Psi", her attendants
were Geneva Evans and Evelyn Key;
Delores Blaine, "Miss Omega Psi p hi",
Eva Thomas, "Hiss Phi Beta Sigma"; her
attendants were Bernice Johnson and Annie
Mae Utkins, Rochelle Rhodes, "Miss
Scroller"; Kathleen Thomas, ’*iss Alpha
’’hi Alpha"; her attendants were v yma

These queens, their attendants and
their 'escorts certainly Vsbt a fcost t
beautiful and exouisite stage for the
Royal Court. Miss ’’argaret Rucker,first
attendant to "Miss Maroon and "hite" re
vealed such charm and gra«e 'in her beau
tiful gown of w’ ite as she glided down
the aisle to the stage, ’-’iss June Hector,
second attendant " Miss Maroon and
Elite" was a picture of beauty and lovli-
ness, expressing sincere happiness in
one big radiant smile. Miss Myma Smith,
Miss Maroon and Elite was truly a queen o
