jL the City Council of Augusta, will be
holden on Monday the 13th of April next,
iu the respective Wards of the city, to wit :
For District No. 1, two Members—at Mr.
Ligon’s Tavern, near the Market, under the
superintendence of John H. Mann, Asaph
Waterman and Jno. Rucker, Esquires, or
any two of them. This District is compos
ed of all that part of the city below or east
of Center-street.
For District No. 2, three Members—at
the City Hotel, under the superintendence
of Lewis C. Cantelou, George Hargraves
and William P. Deurumud, Esquires, or any
two of them. This District is comp ised of
that part of the city between Center aud
M'intosh-streels.
For District No f 3, three Members—at
-the Globe Tavern, under the superinten
dence of Gilbert Lnngstreet, John Campbell
and Augustin Slaughter, Esquires, or any
two of them. This District is composed of ;
all that part of the city lying west of M'lu
tosh-street.
The Managers are requested (o keep the
polls open from nine o’clock in the forenoon,
until three o’clock in the afternoon, and
transmit a list of the Voters and a statement
of the Poll to the Mayor. Should it he in- 1
convenient for any of the persons nomina- j
ted to attend, they.will please signify the
same, so that others may be appointed.
