DEATH OF MRS. WEST
An Estimable Lady Passes Away at
Albany.
Albany. Ga., Dec. 25. Mrs. E. R.
West died at her home on Commerce
street at eleven o'clock Friday night,
after a lingering Illness with consump
tion. Surrounded by husband, par
ents and other loved ones, she passed
pe|cefully away. She was conscious
to the Inst and had realised her condi
tion long before she died. She was
prepared to die and for months had
been waiting with Christian fortitude
for death to relieve her of her suffer
ings. Mrs. West was the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Chastain of
Thomasville, and wus married to Mr.
West about five years ago. As Miss
Cornlm* Chastalne she whs very popu
lar in Thomasville. and soon after
coming to Albany she made many
friends.
