ditto, Bank of Darien, dated |an.
1, 1820, letter A. No. 1585, for S2O.
One ditto, Bank ot Darien, dated
Oct. 2, letter A, No. 1928,
for S3. 1 his letter had not arrived
on the 6th Aug. and a reward of
S2O will be paid for the recovery
ol the letter. Should anv of the
bills described above be offered, it
is particularly requested that they
be stopped.

Whkreas, it is desirable to ascer’
tain the wishes of the citizens of this
state as to the mode of chosrng Elec
tors of President and Vice-President
ofthe United Stales.
tie it therefore resolved by the Senate,
and House of Representatives of the
Slate of Georgia, in General Assembly
met, That it shall be the duty ofthe
magistrates who shall preside at the
several elections to be held iu the dif
ferent counties of this state for tlie
choice of members of the Legislature,
at the next general election therein, to
propose to each and every voter, at the
time of receiving his vote, whether he
desires that the choice ol said Electors
shall be confined to the people or re
tained by the Legislature, and to re
quest such voter to signify such desire
by endorsing on his ticket the word
Frople or Legislature, according to
the truth of the fact; and, on counting
out the ballots, to annex to the return
of the said election by them so trans
mitted to the Executive department,a
true statement of the votes so given,to
the end that the same may be laid be
fore the next Legislature by his excel
lency the Governor.
And be it further resolved, That his
excellency the Governor be and he is
hereby requested to cause this resoluj
tion to be published without delay in
the several gazetts of this state, and to
continue the said publication once a
month until the next general election.
