lor S3. I his letter had not arrived
on the 6th Aug. and a reward of
S2O will be paid for the recovery
ol the letter. Should anv of the
bills described above be offered, it
is particularly requested that they
be stopped.

did, on the loth day of January, 1821, mort
gage to said Hudson, a tract of land lying in
the county of Laurens, number three hundred
and twenty-eight, in seventeenth district, (for
merly Wilkinson, now) Laurens county, for
the better securing the payment of the sum of
forty dollars, on the first day of January, 1822 ;
and the saidltoliert 3. Duffy having failed to
pay the same according to the terms of said
mortgage, and the said Benjamin Hudson pray
ing tiie foreclosure of said mortgage. It is there
fore Ordered, That the said Hubert‘S. Duffy
do pay into the Clerk’s ollice of this court, the
principal and, interest aue on said mortgage
within twelve months from this cat'*, n the

ever burred and foreclosed ; mid that the same

tain the wishes of the citizens of this
state as to the mode of chosing Elec
tors of President ami Vice-President
of the United States.
ISe it therefore resolved by the Senate
and House of Hepresentatires of the.
State of Georgia, in General Assembly
met, That it shall be the duty of the
magistrates who shall preside at the
several elections to be held in the dif
ferent counties bf this state for the
choice of members of the Legislature,
at the next general election therein, to
propose to each and every voter, at the
time of receiving his vote, whether he
desires that the choice of aid Electors
shall be confined to the people u re
tained by the Legislatuie, and to re
quest such voter to signify such desire
hv endorsing on his ticket the word
People or Legislature, according to
the truth of the fact; and, on counting
out the ballots, to annex to the return
of the said election by them ho trans
mitted to the Executive departments

fore the next Legislature by his excel
lency the Governor.
Jlnd he it further resolved, That his
excellency the Governor be and lie is
hereby requested to cause this resoluj
