containing the following bank notes:

Georgia, payable at tne Bank in
Savannah, dated 2d Nov. 1819,let
ter E. and No. 415 for SIOO. One
ditto, Bank ol Darien, dated Jan.
1, 1820, letter A. No. 1585, for S2O.
One ditto, Bank of Darien, dated
Oct. 2, 1820, letter A, No. 1928,
for S3. 1 his letter had not arrived
on the 6th Aug. and a rewaid of
S2O will be paid for the recovery I
of the letter. Should anv of the
bills described above be offered, it
is particularly requested that they
be stopped.

Whereas, it is desirable to ascur’
tain the wishes of the citizens of this
state as to the mode of chosing Elec
tors of President and Vice-President
oftbe United States.
lie it therefore resolved by the Senate
and House of Representatives of the
Slate of Georgia, in General Assembly
met,'Flint it shall be the duty of the
magistrates who shall preside at the
several elections to be held in the dif
ferent counties of ibis state for the
hoice of members of the Legislature,
at the next general election therein, to
propose to each and every voter, at the
time of receiving his vote, whether he
desires that thechoiceot said Electors
-hall be confined to the people orie
•ained by the Legislature, and to re
quest such voter to signify such desire
by endorsing on his ticket the word
Feople or Legislature, according to
the truth of the fact; and, on counting
out the ballots, to annex to the return
of the said election by them so trans
mitted to the Executive department,a
true statement of the votes sp given,to
the end that the same may be laid be
fore the next Legislature by his excel
lency the Governor.
