A Proclamation.

By Ins Excellency John Ci.akk, Governor and
Commander in Chief of the Army and Na-
vv of this State, and of tl»e Militia thereof.
W HEREAS, it appears from the report
of an inquisition, held on the PJlh inst.
the county of Pulaski in this state, as certi
fied to me by the Coroner of said county, that
on the 18th iust. an aggravated murder was
omniitted on the both of Luke Haddock, by
Martin B. Rouse am! Joseph B. Biyan, of the
county aforesaid—that the said Martin B.
House has been apprehended and confined in
Jail, and Joseph B. Bryan has absconded or
concealed himself so that the ordinary process
of law cannot be served upon him—l have
therefore thought proper to issue this m\ Proc
lamation, hereby ntiering a reward of TWO
HUNDRED DOLLARS to any person or
persons who may apprehend and deliver the
said Joseph B. Bryan to the Sheriff or Jailor
of Pulaski county and 1 do moreover hereby
charge and require all officers, civil and mili
tary, within this state, to be vigilenl in endea
voring to apprehend the said Joseph U Biyan
if to be found within the same, so that he tuny
undergo a trial for the crime of which lie is
charged.
