Supper on Board the Albert Haley
One of our reporters was invited last eve
ning to purtako of a supper on board the schr.
“Albert Iialey,” from Havana, lying at the
foot of Lincoln street, with a cargo of the
choicest Havana oranges, pine apples, &c. Tho
Affair was a pleasant interchange of friendly
sentiment and social courtesies—the edibles
we:e substantial and of cxcellont quality.
Upon our departure Captain Nichols, a most
efficient and gentlemanly officer, insisted upon
presenting us with somo fine pine apples and

occupied by two beds, one of which contained

a few moment* the squealing of a young pig was

of tin room, audit was not many minutes before
our travelers were awake, swearing at the sup
posed pig; but no use, the pig would squeal, first
at the foot of the bed, then on tho bed, then under
the bed, and in foot at every point was heard tho
squeal of the pig. Our travelers arose, lighted
the lamp, and oommenoed a thorough searoh for
the pip, but in vain ; the bed was run oat in the
middle of the room, but no pig w» found; tho
slothes and matti ess were removed from the bed,
but only .o find that they were oiled upon the
pig; the clothe* wore egein piled upon the bed
with no better tuaoess, the pig would stay, under

of out*, the neighing of horses, the orqw*
ing of rooitera, the bleating of sheep, and the
crying and shrieking of several babies, making

ventriloquist, said« “Gentlemen, don’t be

yelled bv turns, meantime rolling on the floor
and holding their sides, and insisted on Seerl’a
