gallery to pit—the audience delighted to ecstacv. So
we fonnd them when we entered, Just at the
close of the first piece, “The Pride of
the Market” After a beautiful ballad from
that fine vocalist, Mr. Gray, the fifth act of “Richard
ill. was performed, Mr. Raymond, as the hump
backed tyrant, to the Inexpressible delight of the au
dlence. Tue burlesque was complete, a moBt ludi
crous feature of which was the performance of the
idonkey engaged for the occasion, which resembled
anything else ou four legs except Richard's “White
Surrey,' 1 which, according to Shakspeare, he ordered
to be saddled for the field on that bloody day. True
to its Instincts, the brute “ wouldn’t go,’’ and two or
three times pitched his royal rider over his his head,
amid the shouts and screams of the audience. The
fight of Bosworth field was brought to a close by fierce
conflict between the rebel Richmond and the tyrant
Richard, in which, as usual, the latter came out sec
ond best, dying game, or rather refusing to die at
all;,for while Richmond was delivering the well-
known eulogium over his prostrate body, and as the
curtain was descending, Raymoud spraug up, de
claring that he never felt better m his life, a fact
which is no doubt attributable In some measure at
least to the liberal support he had received on Ills
beuefit night.

Benefit of Mr. anil Mrs. W. H. Crisp.
To night has been set apart by the management
for Hie bem fit of Mr. an4 Mrs. W. H. Crisp. For the
occasion, a bill of extraordinary attraction has been
prepared, comprising tile popular play of “ Lady
Audley's secret,’ ’ with one act from “ London Assu

ted character of Lady Gay Spanker,—one act of
■ Macbeth"—with Mr. and Mrs. Crisp as Macbeth
and Lady Macbeth,—and one act of the “ Corsican
Brothers." m which Mr. Crisp achieved such a bril

theatres To the admirers of the drama the bill to
night presents extraordinary attraction, sucb as is

the ucrasioa is oae of peculiar Interest, as affording
them an opportunity of testifying iu a substantial

nor neglected by their old Savannah friends.

occupied by her, on the corner of Whitaker and Con

“New BedFobd, Mass., Nov. 24,1S63.
DearSir,—I have been afflicted many years with
severe prostrating cramps in my limbs, cold feet aud
hands, and a general disordered system. Physicians
and medicines failed to relieve me. While visiting
some friends in New York who were using Plantation
Bitters, they prevailed upon me to try them. I com
menced with a small wine-glassful alter dinner. Feel
ing better hy degrees, in a few days I was astonished
to find the coldness and cramps had entirely left me,
und I could sleep the night through, which I have not
done lor years. I feel like another being. My appe
tite and strength have also greatly improved by uie
use ofthe Plantation Bitters.
Respectfully, Jcuitu Russel.”
