T HE subscriber lias file pleasure of announc
ing to the citizens of the United States, that
he has purchased, for a very; large stun and front
the inventor, the celebrated Dr. Magnitt, of Pari*,
the recipe and right for making this astonishing
medicine. Until the appearance ofj^e “Luciua
Cordial," (about three year* since) it was thought
that tlie complaint* which it speedily overcomes,
were beyond tlie reach of human remedy, as for
upwards of a thousand years, they bad battled the
wisdom and ingeuuity of the most profound phy
sicians in all part* of tlie world. This Cordi«\
however, to the great advantage of the human
race, soon proved itself to be the desideratum so
long fought for; and accordingly, notwithstanding
the brief period of its existence, it ba* acquired a
celebrity so great, that it is eagerly sought for
throughout tlie civilized globe. Dr, Mngnin soon
finding that the demand was so vast as to re*skr
a supply impossible, disposed of the recipe and
right of sale, undrf otsngafioni of wcrecy7”!or
England and tho United State*, and other coun
tries, only preserving France and Italy for himself.
Thu* ha* the subscriber po**e*ed himself of Uie
invaluable secret, and now hasten* to give tlie in
habitant* of hi* fine of agency the benefit* of liis
speculation.
“Le Cordial de Lncine," or, in English, “the
Luciua Cordial," is ageueralinvigoratorof the hu

for to the body. But tlie peculiar virtue on which
Us celebrity is Wed, is the facility and certiiuty
with whicft.it restore*the vir^ 'powers when they
have been destroyed by disease, time, reckless
ness, or any of the numerous causes which termi
nate iu the'prostration of those function*.
In common with the generality of really good
lnedicines, this Cordial contains nothing V h mer
curial or deleterious nature, among tlib-mauy in
gredients which compose it; but is, at the same
time, so *i topic; yet so officaciou*. Uiat while it can
renovate Uie pro-t ruled energies of a giant, an in-

advantage.
s of society ore unfortunately such

sure to result from it, wc cannot enter into an an
alysis of ihi* iue.-timable Cordial here, or publish
many of the document* which have beeu receiv
ed, a* vouchers of the blowings it lias conferred on
number* of despairin* individuals. But this we
cannot forbear remarking—that it ha* been de
monstrated that there is scarcely ever, if any such
filing at all, as natural barrenness, or as natural
imbecility of tbe procreaut function* in cither sex;
ami, tlierefore. thai those evils are the effect? of
artificial cause*,and tnay be speedily subdued aud
removed by the use of “Le Cordial de Lncine."
The Luciua Cordial is also an indubitable cure
for the Gleet, and tlie Fluor Albas, obstructed,
difficult or painful Menstruation; also, for the
incontinence of Urine or the involuntary di«-
charire thereof. It in likewise an invaluable and
unrivalled medicine in cares of Chronic Errup-
tions of tlie skin, and in the dropsical affections
of the aged.

fore the community, the following certificate,
which he ha* received from the inventor, the illus
trious Dr. Afagnin, of Pari*:
“This U to certify, that I have disposed of tbe
recipe for making tbe Lncma Cordial, or Elixir of
Love, and also tlie right to sell it throughout tlie
United States of North America, to John Winters
Holderwelf, 31. D. My reason* for so doing is,
that the demands to me for the above Cordial, of
which I am the inventor, are so numerous, that I
am nnable to mipply all the orders from France and
Italy*alone; and have tlierefore disposed of the
privileges vouchsafed in this am! other certificates
of a like nature, in order to generalise the benefits,
of my discovery throughout the world.

vifeccral affection*, and other slow but unerringly
fatal maladies—however irregular in their inva
sion, aud uncommon in their appearance*—in
fine, whatever-betlie ago, idiosyncrasy, or habits
of tlie patient, the complaint alike bids adieu ou
the due adminhffiration of the Tonic Mixture!—
preparation* may
have been, there can he little rcuance placed upon
them when compared with this article. By strict
ly following the direction* that accompany the
bottle, we find it acts upon tho most scientific
principle—for, it* acorns to anticipate the return
of Uie cold fit, and excites a strong reaction, and
powerful glow*pver the whole system; and thus
to pre-occnpv the ground, and by disturbing the
regularity ofthe type, to subdue .the intermittent
altogether. Under miqb a course of medicine, I
have beey astouisbed to notice with what haste
the disease beau alarm for a retreat, and the pros
trated strength of fiie system rallies. It is a pow
erful, yet mild medicine—substituting calmness,
tranquillity .and balmy sleep,in place of ptiin.wca-
rincss, and rustic** nights—a renovation of long-
lost strength and rohtiM health, in lien of feeble
ness and emaciation. And 1 confidently believe,
and l predicate my opinion upon the most sub
stantial proof, that under whatever sky—in what
ever comer of the eartli—whether upon hill or
valley, wherever fever and ague make* its appear
ance. there also will "RowantT* Tonic Mixture"
find it* way—the happy desideratum, the perfect
antidote. N. LEE, M. D.
(TFOne of the best recommendations that can
be given this medicine is the following:—Phvsi-
