Valuable Lands for Sale.
T HE undersigned offers for salo their Lands
in Screven county .situated upon the Savan
nah River, between fifty and fifty-five miles from
the city of Savannah, and ten from the forty-five
mile station upon the Central Rail Road. These
lands* consist of river swamp, oak and hickory
mixed, pine and pine lands—and contain (8000)
eight thousand acres. For a farm, these lands
can be recommended as second to none upon the
river, aa there are in one body, about one thous
and acres of oak and hickory, and mixed pine
land, very level, and well adapted both for tlie cul
ture of com and cotton. This body of land is sit
uated between the river swamp and the high pine
land which surround it, and may all be seen at one
view, forming one ofthe most beautiful, as well
ns one of the most valuable situations for a farm,
in.the State; (500) five hundred acres of this land
are cleared and in good order fora crop the ensu-
ingyenr. Besides this body of land, there are
many other tracts of fertile Innd which may be
brought into profitable cultivation. There arc
also upon the premises adjoining the plantation
a set of grist and saw mills, running two saws, up!
on an excellent stream, and contiguous thereto an
inexhaustible supply ofthe best yellow pine tim
her upon tlie river, there is landings both for lnm
ber and steamboat wood, with which latter article
the land also abounds. To a person disposed to
enter the lumber business, those lands offer every
inducement, ns they afford all the facilities for a
profitable procuring of the same. The range for
stock ofnll kinds is excellent, better than can be
had on this side of the frontier counties of the
State. There are also upon the premises three
improved settlements, two of which are as healthy
ns any in the State.
The undersigned, in view of all tlie advantages
of the place and its various resources, do with
confidence recommend it to any one wishing to
settle a largo place, as one ofthe best selections
there can be made, as they aro well assured Unit
with proper management, as great profits may be
realized hero, from the labor of one hundred
hands, as could be obtained upon any place in the
State. Persons in want of lands, would doubtless
add to their interest to make an examination of
these lands before they purchase elsewhere. To
an approved purchaser, these lands will be sold
very low, and upon the most easy terms. Apply
to either ofthe undersigned, upon the premises.
