Mortoomeey, June 1.—H. H. Perkins, a
member of the Clinch Rifles, of Augusta,
died yesterday afternoon from the bite of an

Washington, June 1.—The steamers Presi

quis Creek, again yesterday. Two war vessels

Two Columbiads en route from PiUburg for
Fort McHenry, were spiked while passing
through Baltimore. The damage was not dis
covered until tha pieces were mounted.
