This Legion is expected to go into Ser
vice before the 15th of August,

Fulton Dragoons want about
serviee. The
fifty able-bodied men, who can furnish good
horses, and a cheap uniform. Gov. Brown
will arm ua—the Legion ia to be tendered
through him.
Here is offered a fine opportunity of going
inlo service, in a Regiment of novel organisa
tion, of picked companies. A distinguished
member of the Confederate Congress, from
Georgia, who gets up this Legion, will doubt
less be appoiuted Colonel; the other field offi
cers—Lieutenant Colonel, Major and Adjutant
are to be appointed by the President, from ex
perienced Army offloers.
We appeal to the patriotism of our citiseos,
not only of Fulton, out of other counties, who
feel disposed to join the Fulton Dragoons, to
send in their names at once lo us, or to regis
ter their names at thestoreof Lieut. Williams.
We have but one week to raise our number, to
get in this Legion. All who want to go, in
form us at once. Will our friends who can't
go encourage this movement?

CONFEDERATE STATES LOAN!
T HE undersigned, Commissioners of the Con
federate Btatee Loan, in and for the State
of Georgia, announce to the public that the
hooka for the subscription to this Loan are re
opened at the following points, uamely: Sa
vannah, Augusta, Macon,Columbus, Millvdge-
ville, Rome. Atlanta, Athena, Washington and
Albany. Wo will send books, Ac., to other
points, if requested to do so, and it be deemed
expedient by us.
Five millions only of the fifteen million Loan
have been called for, and eleven millions have
been responded to—no subscription being at a
lees rate than par, and some as high’as ten per
eent. premium. The present exigencies of our
national crisis call for tha balance of this Loan,
and we have no doubt our fellow-citisen* will
oheerfully respond to that call. Let it be re
membered that, in wbat they thus advance,
they are making an investment at 8 per cent,
per annum, (which investment ia secured by a
special sinking fund,) and that subacriptions
may be made in any sum from fifty dollars up
wards.
We are authorised to say that these subscrip-
tions will be received in this 9tate in current
bank notes which ere considered at par at the
several can tree of trade.
An abounding patriotism has carried, and is
carrying, our brave brothers end sons in suffi
cient nembers to the field; we doubt not that
the came fervid feeling will support them there,
hy rapidly filling the remainder of this Loon.
