UNPARALLELED SUCCESS OF
RHODES’ FEVER AND AGUE CURE,
UR
ANTIDOTE TO .MALARIA:
Equally certain as a Preventive ‘or Cure.
NO POISON. PROOFS !
See what the President of tho Pharmaceutical Society
of Missouri, says of ithodus’ Fovet and Ague Cure, or An
tidote to Malaria:
Sr. Louis, Mo., Nov. 10, 1865.
HAVING noticed the certificate of chemical analysis
given by the celebrated chemist Dr. J. K. Chilton,
of New York city, in saver of Rhodes’ Fever and Ague
Cure, that it contained neither Quinine, Arsenic, Jler
curp nor Strychnine, aud having received numerous ap
plications for it, 1 was induced to send, to Dr, .Rhodes
for the medicine. Since then I have disposed of a large
quantity, mostly lo residents of thisciiy, who have inva
riably been cured by it, and to whom I cau refer. I am,
therefore, satisfied iti reuomuieiiding it to be all that
tho proprietor represents.
EDWARD S. WHEATON,
I’resd’t of Pharmaceutical Society of Missouri.
TO Bottles Perform TO Cures.
Constantins, Midi., Sept. 24th, 1855.
James A. Rhodes, Esq.—Dear Sir,: —1 have just sent
an order to Ames & Ilalliday for another half grdss of
your Feverand AguoCure. Tt has sold like” llutCukcK,”
aud 1 have only two bottles on hand. One reason it
has sold, is because when 1 have heard of a case of Ague
or Chill Fever, 1 have sent a bottle and teld them to try
it, and if it did not help them, they were not obliged to
pay for It, and they were all satisfied. 1 had one case
of Chill Fever where it run four days, hut tho man came
to see me on the sixth day well satisfied.
‘l’luly yours, JOHN P. GLADDING.
Had tlie Ague for Twelve Years !
Providence, June 29, 1855.
II living been informed of the illness of a poor, hut
worthy woman, who has not been fra e from Fever mid
Ague a mouth at a time for the last twelve years, I sup
plied her gratuitously with Rhodes’ Fever and Ague
Cure. She took in all four bottles which completely re
stored her to health and sfircugth, and as four months
have now elapsed, there is uo reason to doubt the periiue
nuncy of the cure.
C. A. P. MASOF, Apothecary.
24 Bottles Perform 24 Cures.
Moline, HI.. Sept. 24, 1855.
Jilt. James A. Rhodes —Dear Sir—The box of “ Ague
Cure” you sent us has all been sold and created a large
deuiaud for more; to meet which we have ordered
from your general agent at Chicago, J. D. Yorrington.
its sale will only he equalled by the number of Fever
and Ague cases. Hoping these cases may be few, yet
have a bottle for every case.
We remain respectfully yours,
RICHARDS & ALLEN.
Louisvn.EE No. 11, C. R. It., Ga., Jan. 1, 1860.
Your Ague Cure lias overcome ail prejudices Ly its
merits, and given satisfaction. A gentleman just called
who has liee.ii fully cured by only one bottle, and de
sired me to recommend it to everybody. 1 shall do all 1
can in its sale. VV. A. lIAYLKS.
Only Caution. —4ti certain specified case.-, pour
tlie contents of one or more bottles of the Cure into
shallow vessels, (dining plates, and place them iu
sleeping rooms; for the vapor rising from tlie medicine,
and also tlie air waited across, or circulated over tho
dregs of it, after the liquid is evaporated, will counteract
aud destroy, to a degi ee commensurate with its expo
sure, the miasmata or poison contained in the apartment.
This mode of exhibiting tlie Cure should likewise he
resorted to when very young infants are exposed to
malarious situations.
The bottles in which this medicine is put up have the
words, “Rhodes’ Fever and AOuk. Cure” blown in the
glass, and on the outside wrapper is the name of tho
medicine, (tlie copyright of which is secured) and the
signature of the proprietor. These precautions are
taken to prevent counterfeits and imitations.
The keliance kok its success is entirely ueon its
actual merits, wherever introduced and used. These
will he considered sufficient.

r j H E great anil important events—Religious, l’olitical,
JL and Military—now agitating t.ho nations of tlie Old
World, givo to these Publications an interest ami value
they never before possessed. They occupy a middle
ground between the hastily written news items, crude
speculations, ami Hying rumors of the newspaper, and
the ponderous Tome of the historian, written long after
the living iu tercet iu tho facts lie records shall have
passed away. The progress of tlie War in tlie East occu
pies a large space in their pages. Every movement is
closely criticised, whether ol frieud or of foe, and sll
uiiort-comings fearlessly pointed out. The letters from
tho Crimea and from the Baltic in Blackwood’s Magazine,
from two of its most pupul.tr contrihutors, give a more
intelligible and reliable account of tho movements of the
gi. it belligerents that ran elsewhere he found.
‘files l . Periodicals ably represent tlie three great poltth
cal parties of Croat liriinin—Whig. Tory, and Radical,—
but politics forms only ouo fulluro of their i haraeter.—
An Organs or the most profound writers on Science, Lite,

have stood, unrivalled in tlie world of letters, being con
sidered indispensable to file BCholnr and tli professional
