GREAT TRIUMPHS

UNPARALLELED SUCCESS OF
RHODES’ FEVER AND AGUE CURE,
(lit
ANTIDOTE TO MALARIA:
Equally certain as a Preventive or Cure.
NO FOISON. PROOFS 1
See what the President of the Pharmaceutical Society
of Missouri, says of Rhodes’ Fevei and Ague Cure, of An
tidote to Malaria:
St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 10, 1855.
HAYING noticodtlie certificate of chemical analysis
given by the celebrated chemist Dr. J. It. Chilton,
ol New York city, in favor of Rhodes’ Fever and Ague
Cure, that it contained neither Quiniue, Arsenic, Mer
curp nor Strychnine, and having received numerous ap
plications for it, l was induced to send to Dr. Rhodes
for tile medicine. Since then I have disposed of a large
quantity, mostly to residents of this city, who have inva
riably been cured by it, and to whom 1 can refer. 1 am,
therefore, satisfied in recommending it to bo all that
the proprietor represents.
EDWARD S. WHEATON,
Presd't ot Pharmaceutical Society ol'Missouri,
70 Bottles Perform 70 Cures.
Constantins, Midi., Sept; 24th. 1855.
Jam us A. Kuodks, Esq.—Dear Sir:—l have just sunt
an order to Ames & Ualliday for another half gross of
your Fever and Ague Cure. It has sold like 1 * Hot Cakes,”
and 1 have only two bottles on hand. One reason it
has sold, is because when 1 have heard of a case of Ague
or Chill Fever, I have sent a bottle and teld them to try
it, and if it did not help them, they were not obliged to
pay for it, and they were all satisfied. Iliad one ease
of Chill Fever where it run four days, hut the man came
to see me on the sixth day well satisfied.
Truly yours, JOHN P. GLADDING.
Had the Ague for Twelve Years !
Pbovidenck, June 29, 1055.
Having been informed of the illness of a poor, but
worthy woman, who lias not been fre ofrom Fover and
Ague a month at a time for the last twelve years, 1 sup
plied her gratuitously with Rhodes’ Fever and Ague
Cure. She took in all four bottles which completely re
stored her to health and strength, and as four months
ha ve now elapsed, there is no reason to doubt the perma
nency of the cure.
C. A. P. MASOF, Apothecary.
24 Bottles Perform 24 Cures.
Moline, 111., Sept. 24, 1865.
Mb. James A. Rhodes—Dear Sir—The box of 11 Ague
Cure” you sent us has all been sold and created a large
demand for more; to meet which wo have ordered
from your general agent at Chicago, J.D. Yerringtou.
Its sale will only be equalled by the number of Fever
and Ague cases. Hoping these cases may he few, yet
have a bottle for every case.
We remain respectfully yours,
RICHARDS A ALLEN.
Louisville No. 11, C. R. K., Ga., Jan. 1, 1850.
Your Ague Cure has overcome all prejudices by its
merits, and given satisfaction. A gentleman just called
who has been fully cured by only one bottle, and de
sired me to recommend it to everybody. I shall do all I
can in its sale. YV. A.IIAYLES.
Only Caution.—ln certain specified cases, pour
tlie contents of one or more bottles of tlio Cure into
shallow vessels, (dining plates, i and place them in
sleeping rooms; for the vapor rising from the medicine,
and also the air waited across, or circulated over the
dregs of it, after the liquid is evaporated, will counteract
aud destroy, to a degiee commensurate with its expo
sure, the miasmata or poison contained in the apartment.
This mode ol exhibiting the Cure should likewise be
resorted to when very young infants aro exposed to
malarious situations.
The bottles in which this medicine is put up have tho
words, “Rhodes’ Fever and Ague Curl” blown in tbo
glass, aud on the outside wrapper is the name of tho
medicine, (the copyright of which is secured) and tho
signature of the proprietor. These precautions are
taken to prevent counterfeits and imitations.
The reliance for its success is entirely upon its
actual merits, wherever introduced and used. These
will be considered sufficient.

THE NORTH BRITISH REY’IEYV (Free Church).
THE WESTMINSTER REVIEW (Liberal).
BLACKWOOD’S EDINBURGH MAGAZINE (Tory).
fj ’HE groat and important events —Religious, Political,
JL and Military—now agitating the nations of the Old
YV orltl, give to tlirtit Publications an interest aud value
they never before possessed. They occupy a middle
ground between tlie hastily written news items, crude
speculations, and flying rumors of the newspaper, and
tho ponderous Tome of tlie historian, written long after
tlie living interest in tlie facts he records shall have
paused away. The progress of the War in the East occu
pies a largo space in their pages. Every movement Is
closely criticised, w hether ol friend or of toe, and all
short-comings fearlessly pointed out. The letters from
the Crimea and from the Baltic in Blackwood’s Magazine,
from two of its most popular contributors, give a more
intelligible uml reliable account, of the movements of the
great belligerents that cun elsewhere be found.
Those Periodicals ably represent tlie three great politi
cal parties of Great Britain—YY liig. Tory, mid Kkdicul, —
but politics forms only one feiituie of their character.—
As Organ* of the most profound writers on Science, Lite
rature, Morality, and Religion, they stand, ns they SVer
have stood, unrivalled in tlie world of letters, being con
sidered indispcnsnlde to the scholar mid the professional
Ulan, while to Hit- intelligent rtuder of every class they
furnish a more correct mnl satisfactory record of the cur
rent literature ol the day, throughout the world, than
can he pas ably obtained from any other source.
