to try Wood’s Hair Restorative, mainly to arrest
the falling oft’ of my hair, for I had really no ex
pectation that gray hair could ever bo restored to
its original color, except from dye*. I was, how
ever, greatly surprised to find, after the use of
two bottles only, that not ouly was the falling off
arrested, but the color was restored to tho gray
hairs and sensibility to tho scalp, und dandruff
ceased to form on my head, very much to the
gratification of my wife,at whose solicitation I was
induced to try it
For this, among the many obligations 1 owe to
tier sex, I strongly recommend all husbands who
value the admiration of their wives, to profit by
my example, and use it if growing gray or getting
bald. Very respectfully,
BENJ. A. LAVENDER.

W. E. Hagan, Troy, N. Y., —Dear Sir: Having
used your Hair Coloring or Restorative, aud being
much pleased with it, I take pleusure in making
tho following statement: From the effects of a
very severe fit of sickness, when übout 18 years of
age, my hair commenced turning grey, ami so
continued to grow until it became perfectly white,
being very harsh anil coarse. Last summer 1 had
readied my lifty-tbird year, when I wus induced
by a friend to purchase two bottle* of Huimstreet's
Hair Restorative, prepared by you. I commenced
using it according to directions, and in a few days
was surprised to find that my hair from the root*
outward was turning back to its original color.
It so continued to grow until it was a* truly
brown and glossy as it was io my youthful days,
and is now fully restored to its origiiuil color.

I hereby certify that my hair having become
quite grey, I used lleimstreet’s Hair Restorative
(prepared by W. K. Hagan, Troy, N. Y.,) for four
weckM, and my hair was iu that time restored to
its original color. 1 can fully recommend the ar

WILLIAM KINGSLEY,
Pastor of the Baptist Church, Plttsford, Vt.
Mr. W. K. Hagan: I have used Ileimitreet’s Hair
Restorative for three years, aud find it to boa moat
excellent article. It not only restored the color of
my hair, giving It new life and strength, but It
cured myself and wifeof a most obetinate eruption
upon the scalp, which nothing else seemed to benefit.
I fully believe it to be the best article in use.
Yours, respectfully,
KNOWLTON HOWLAND.
The above are but a few of the mauy letters of
recommendation which have been tendered to the
proprietor!* of Heimstreet’s Hair Coloring or Re
storative. It has been used by thousands of peo
ple, and it never fails to restore the color and
growth of the hair. This singular effect is not
produced ha when dyes are used ; for its acts upon
tho natural secretions of coloring matter at the
roots, and thus effects tho change. The color jnro
duced is not a counterfeit, but the natural shade, of
youth. It does not color the skin.

Sore Throat Plague amt Sore
Throat* —This quality of seizing hold and

Pills. They operate only upon the tissues in

they sei'/e upon those humors, not so much from
preference as from natural affinity, because their
life is below those of the surrounding parts, and
which, settling on tho tissue* of tho throat, that
1, around tho throat region, produces sore throat,
sore throat plague, and the sever© headache and

taken, there is felt a peculiar creeping in the part
affected, a sort of collecting up of the diseased
humor* ready for expulsion, No hurt or weaken
ing effect can ever arise from their use, because
they caunot act upon healthy parts. Taken early
they prevent all organic diseases. Oh how impor
