at work, on the pretnifes. On this trait
is a great deal of planting land, an ex
cellent fumraer range, and only five mile*
from the market house in Augusta—the
situation is plcafant, perhaps exceeded
by none in the date, as to beauty and
hcahh.

General, to examine all such claims of the

may be laid before him by the Executive,

RUN WAY from the fubferiber on
the night of the 4th inst. a negro
man named EMANUEL, about five feet
eight or nine inches high, light complec
tion, had on when he went away, a brown
coloured cloth coat, with a black cape,
a pair of striped homespun overalls, with
other cloathing not recollcflcd; has a
fear on his right cheek, occalioned by a
bile. It is expefted hejvill aim to get
to Alexandria, in Virginia, as he was
purebafed there last winter, by Mr, Fa*
rilb Carter, and brought to this state.
The above Reward will be paid by
delivering said Negro to the Subscriber,
living in Peterfborg, Georgia, or fecuc*
ing him in any jail in this state, or the
state of South Carolina, so that he can be
got again, with all other reasonable ex*
pence* attending the fare?,
