ate, after a most perplexing and laughable
struggle, declared that in tba fees of the con
current resolutions concerning Georgia, the
objection in joint session was out of order.—
The House again met in joint session in ab
solute conflict. Wade ordered Georgia to bo
road, as directed by the oonourront resolu
tion. Sutler objected. Wado.WOald hear
no objection. Butler appealed from Wadi’n
decision. Wade would allow no appeal, and
ordered the count to proceed. Butler moved
that tho Senate have permission to rstlre.—
Decided not in order. Butler insisted they
should control their own hall. Amidst most
intense excitement, Wade ordered the count,
to proceed. Cockling commenced reading the
result,■ but his voice was drowned by cries of or
der, and the noise became deafening, when Hne-
kerColfitx sprung totliedesk, proclaimed that
tho Vico Pucsideol must be obeyed in joint
season. nnd ordered the Hergenut-at-aruis to
nrent disorderly persons. Colfax was ordering
and appealing probably two minutes, during
which time tbo Sergeant-at-arms had dirt rib-
