PATENT CONTINUOUS FEED WORKS.
An Incomparably superior substitute for the Rag Wlieel.
The peculiar principle from which tho abovo Mill de
rives ita greatest merit. Is more especially valuable in
lta application to tho Gang Saw frame. The Englno
stands Immediately underneath the Sash, to which tho
Piston Rod Is directly attached. Tho motion of the Sash
Is thus directly controlled by the steam In the cylinder,
and by the introduction ot tills at a particular point, tho
force of both tho up and downward stoke (usually fall
ing with such jarring efiecta on the plumbor blocks and
wrist pins,) Is entirely arrested, the Bash being thus al
ways suspended ns It were on the steam, relieving there
by tbo Journals and wrist (so liable Jo heat In the usual
application) of all boating tendency. By virtue of this
irfnclple, practical demonstration can bo furnished that
hese Mills are capable of an easy speed of 800 revolu-
.Ions per minute, and at this speed aro noariy noiseless—
the out of tho saws being almost alone board. A com
mon snood for the single saw under this application Is
from 850 to 300 revolutions per minute I The style In
which theso Engines nnd their appurtenances are gotten
up Is superior throughout, whllo tho Mill, In Its design,
embodies every practical and well-tried Improvement
extant. Tho Englno nnd other work from this establish
ment Is not excelled In any part of the United States.

In this preparation are strongly concentrated all the
medicinal properties of Sarsaparilla, combined with the

combination Is such that one modifies and Improves the

unrivalled In lta operation on the system when laboring
under disease. The manv well authenticated dures of

The following was sent to our agents, Messrs. W. A.

„ „ Watervord, N. Y m Nov. 20,1850.
Messrs. Sands—Gentlemen:—About three months
since, the disease called “Beard, or Barber's Itch," ap-
pcared on my fiice, and as It Is or rare ocourrenM—no
caso as yet having come under Uio care of our village
physicians—I found it very difficult even to slop the pro
gress of tho disease on my face, allhough I tried reme
dies that bad cured from the plmpto on a child’s face to
the galled breast of a canal horse; and even pulled out
my beard on the side of my Tace aud chin. A short time
since, a friend told mo that he bad It for two years, and
ried different remedies without success, but finally cured
t In n short time by the use or Sands'Sarsaparilla. On this
recommendation, 1 bought one bottle, and finding I re
ceived benefit from it, I continued Its use until I am now
perfectly cured. I am led to bring this to your notice
gratuitously, from the fact that the disease Is not uamed
In the list of complaints for which the Sarsaparilla is a
remedy .and that you may bo able confidently to rocom
mend It for such cases.
