1 Hon. A. G. Foster, Register in Bankruptcy,
will be sold between the legal hours of sale, at
Edgefield Court Honse, iu theconnty of Edgefield
and State of South Carolina, on the first Monday
in January next, all the right, title and interest of
Francis Murray, I|aukrupt, in the following
property, to-wi’ :
All that trac. of Land being in the county and
State aforesaid, on Big Horse Creek, waters of
the Savannah river, containing 2,080 acres, more
or less, and bounded on the west by lands now
or formerly belonging to Win. Gregg, on the
northeast by landsnow orformerly Lewis Elzey's,
on the east by lands now or formerly Mat May’s
and E. Posey’s, on the southeast by laud now or
formerly G.Rozier’s and Mrs. R. Swearingin’s, on
the south by lands now orformerly Wm. Riggs’
and J. Hatcher’s. Also, all the right, title and
interest of said Bankrupt in that other tract of
Land lying in the county and State afore
said, near the Graniteville depot, on the South
Carolina railroad, containing one and —— acres,
more or less, and bounded on the west’by laud
now or formerly William Morris', on the south

Railroad. The aforesaid tracts of Land being the
same conveyed to said Francis Murray by Lucius
It Hull, by deed dated the 27tli day of November,
1866. Also, a lease hold interest iu four acres of
land adjoining Kalmia Mills, upon which there is
a wooden house, containing seven rooms. Also,
two small carts.
The interest of said Francis Murray, in the
aforementioned property to be eold free from the
encumbrance of auy lieu, held, by any creditors of

the Southern District of Georgia, in favor of the

have levied upon, as the property of Edwin T.
Jones, defendant, his one-third interest in a Route
aud Lot, in the city ot Augusta, county of Rich
mond aud State of Georgia, aud more particu
larly described as being situated ou tbe south side
of Broad street, containing a front on Broad Street
of forty-six feet, aud running back one hundred
aud forty-six feet, bounded on the East by Mr.
Curtis’ lot, and on the VVest by Mrs. Dill’s, and
will sell the same at public auction, at the Court
House, in the city of Augusta, county of Rich-
• moud and State of Georgia, on the first TUES
DAY in JANUARY next, between the lawful

Government Proposals

Arsenal, with 160 Cords of good merchantable,
hard WOOD—upland preferred. These pro
posals must be in the usual form, and addressed
to the undersigned. They will be opened at 10
. a. m., on Thursday, November 26th, and bidders
are invited to be present. The successful bidder
will be required to enter into contract, and give
bauds in the usual form. •
One Hundred Cords are to be delivered before
February Ist, 1869 ; the remainder, at the con
tractor's option, any time before October Ist,
1869. Bids will be received for a part or for the
whole amount.

(excepting the right of wav of said railroad
through eaid tract of land), containing three hun
dred and nine acres, more or less, bounded south
by lands of John Phinisv and Rocky Creek, ou
the west by lands now or formerly owned by De
laugle, on the north by land now or formerly
owned by DeLaigle and a lane of John Phinizy,
east by land of John Phinizy. Levied ou under
a mortgage H. fa. on foreclosure issued from the
the Superior Court of Richmond county, in favor
of John Phinizy against Robert C. Easterling, to
satisfy said debt and costs, as the property of
Robert C. Easterling, being for the purchase
mousy of said tract of laud, except each portion
of said land as claimed by defendant as exempt
from levy and sale; said land being uow in pos
session of John C. Spinks. And notice this day
served on him according to law. The above prop
erty pointed out by John Phinizy.

a plan of lots drawn by Edwin V. Sharpe, and
copied in a deed of said lots by John Brandon to
Henry T. Nelson. The said lot, No. 3, fronting
on tbe Summerville. Plank Road, or Graded
I Road, now called the Augusta Avenue, seventy
five feet, and situate one hundred and forty feet
from Liberty street, and east thereof, and run
ning back of, oven with, one hundred and sev

the same angle with said Avenue. The said lot

back from said new street towards said Liberty
street one hundred and seventy five feet; tbe
northern boundary line of said lot, No. 1, being
the southern boundary line of said lots, Nos. 3
and 4, and the three lots having been conveyed
to said Nelson by and from John Brandon, re
corded in the Clerk’s office of this county in book
VV, folios 113 and 114. Levied on as the prop
erty of Henry T. Nelson, to satisfy a fi. fa., on
foreclosure of mortgage, issued from the Superior
Court of Richmond county, in favor of tbe Sol
dier’s Loan and Building Association, against
