CHARLESTON, March 16.—Cotton.—The cot
ton market was quiet yesterday, the transactions hav
ing been limited to stune 400 bales, at prices lunging
from 104 to lift-.
N. ORLEANS, March 14.—The Cotton market
was brisk yesterday, and 10,000 bales were 6old at an
advance of 4- ' The sales for tlie three days amount
to 27,000 bales. Floer 1ms ud • anced25 cents per bbl;

CHATTANOOGA, March 15.—Com is selling 30 a
35 cents per bushel. Bacon nt 4 a 5 cents per pound.
Lard at 5 cents. The river is in good boating order,
anil tlie Boats are muking their regular trips; There
are some 3 or 4 thousand bales of Cotton at this place
waiting for transportation to the Southern markets.
ATLANTA, March' 15.—Cotton.—But little done
on yesterday. The few sales of the day Were made
at prices ruDging from 18 to life.
Corn is selling- 55c; Corn mgal 65c; Pens 65;
Oats 30 a 35; Butter-12 nlS; Lard 64 a 7c.
MOBILE, March 11.—Cotton.—The telegraphic
accounts- received to-day, per "Canada,"put it stop
to the general business. A few hundred bnles, of
cotton, however, were * sold' at a decline of .1 c.; Efiy
10}c. for good middlings.
HAVRE, Feb. 20.—Our Cotton market is very dull,
and prices assume u downward tendency; N Orleans
middling, our tres ordinarie is worth 07-50f. The
state of our manufacturing districts is healthy, but
this is not the case In England and a decline in prices
is generally looked for. Lard is in fair request, but
till other American export articles are neglected,

NEW YORK, March 13.—There is a more actjve
demand for money prevailing, but the rutps are un
changed; Wo quote : Call Loans 41, 5, 6, and 7 per
cent, according to the security. Prime 60 day bills 6

and auctioneers’ bills, 7 a 9.
In Exchange there is nothing doing. Sterling is
