COTTON.—No sales were reported yesterday-
AUGUSTA, April 9.—The receipts at Augusta and
Hamburg continue very trifling, and the business ot
tin-past week has been moderate. 1 he accounts re-
eived oil Friday momentarily depressed prices, and
some few sales were made at a decline ot from k tot
of a cent, but holders withdrew their stocks, and pur
chases could not be made on Saturday and yesterday
unless at the lull prices prevailing before the stenni-
or's news was received. The sales ot the week were
not 1,000 bales. We now quote Mid. at 11 a 11$ ; good
mid, Ilia llj; mid fair, llj a 11? ; fair,ll| a 12c.
MOBILE, April 4.—Cotton was in more active de-
limud to-day, and 15 a 1800 bales changed hands at
rather higher prices. The principal purchases were
for France anu Spain, the buyers tor England being
almost out of the market. We now quote—Ordina-
ry at 101 a 10?; mid, 11 a 111; good mid, 111 « US ;
mid fair, Ilf a 113.

M THE Proprietors of the Marietta Hotel, would

nesaw, from which may be seen nearly all the highest
points in Georgia. .
The proprietors are prepared with horses, buggies
und carriages, to accommodate all who may wish to
ride for pleasure or on business, and are determined
to sec that none go away dissatisfied.

is about 5 feet 7 inches high, medium size, dark hair,
dark eyes, dark complexion, blaok beard, fine teeth,
speaks slow and soft, steps quick when walking. He
was'last eeen in this City, so far as can be ascertain
ed, on the night of Wednesday last, 27th February
