fhe Boston Tragedy.—The Boston Bee, of
Suturoay, has’the following:—
‘•'J'hc Mystery Solving Itself—Further a-
I ml Ike Student!—Wo have been informed by
.r!n,(l authority, that, instead of the student go-
~ n ,o p r . Beecher, and ‘supposing a case,’ that
Dr. Beecher went to a distinguished govern-
,' nt officer, and said something like the fol
lowing : ‘Suppose a friend of mine should
visit a certain institution, and on entering he
discovered the headless body of n humnn be-
ln,, on the floor, and over it a man distineuish-
ctfin science, standing with a bloody knife in
his hand! and he should be atiackod by the
murderer and compelled to take an oath never
l„ divulse what lie then saw ; and received no
money for keeping the secret, would there be
anv penalty attached to the act?’ We have it
that the official thus questioned declined mak
ing tiny reply.
“The statement above made we now have
reason to believe is true, from facts made
known to us yesterday, and which we are not
now at liberty to divulge. We can only add
lhot certain mysterious movements and threats
which have been made of late in connection
with this affair, mean something which in due
time shall he made plain.”

TURNER’S
Compound Fluid Ex-tract of Conyza nnd
Styllingia.
T HIS preparation is a Concentrated Extract, con
taining njl the Active Medical Properties of the
Conyza, (commonly known as Bluck Root,) and the
Styllingia, or Queen’s Delight.
These plants have been long used among our South
ern Negroes, and recently by the Medical Profession,
with the happiest results, in cases of Chronic Rheu
matism, Ulcers of long standing, and Secondary
Syphilis. It is much superior to any preparation of
Sarsaparilla’ as un alterative, being more active and
prompt in its operation on the system. These facts
have induced the subscribers to present to the atten
tion of Physicians a fluid extract prepared strictly ac
cording to Chemical and Punnnceutical science, de
void ot all the feculent and inert parts of'the roots,
not doubting that it will supersede-the unscientific and
crude preparations hitherto used.
Price—$1 per bottle, or .six bottles for $5.
