TEA CULTIVATION IN THE’ U. STATES.’
H AVING received n small supply of TEA NUTS,
collected nt great expense of mpuey and labor,
in the middle districts of China, from tlie most cele
brated Tea Plantations of the Empire, I am prepared
to fultti my engagements by accommodating the pub
lic with a slipve of the Nuts received. My main ob
ject is to ,! ant nnd cultivate; but as I am quite cer
tain that! have obtained, after tho labor of three
years, the beet quality of.Tea Nuts, 1 tun disposed to
meet the wishes of the public, und to rhino them
with otiiers.—TenNuts gathered in the neighborhood
of Canton are senreely worth cultivating, on account
of the Inferior quality of the Ten. It is obviously the
Interest of tlie planter to submit to an hicreased ex-
ponsfc, to secure a superior quality ot Tea Nut, in es
tablishing a Tea Plantation, whether large or small.
In prosecuting this erdiiouu undertaking, I am in
fact acting as an agent for the benefit of the public.
Neither the State, the public, or any iriilividual, hus
ever exteriled to me the aid ot a single cent.
For convenience and security, tlie Nnts will be
packed in tin boxes, mid forwarded from Greenville,
ri C.. by such conveyance ami U stu h address as the
purchaser nicy direct, to any part of the U. States.
