\t the Hartford (Con.) lair, premiums
were awarded to two very fine and elegant-
k finished grass bonnets, made by the Me?
Woodho-tscs of Wethersfield, and which are
rarely surpassed in hcautyhy the most cost
ly Leghorns. One very little inferior was
also exhibited, made by Miss Hanmerofthe
same place. They were made of the Poa
Pretends or spear grass, and those which re
ceived the premiums sold for S-AO, the other
for S27. Another, of a quality almost equal
to those just mentioned, was made by a
young lady of Windsor, of the sweet scent
ed vernal gra'*; and one of split straw, by
Miss Capen of Hartford, was remarked for
it’s extraordinary delicacy ot texture. At
this fair hlso there was a great display of va
luable and ingenious domestic articles.

It is stated in the Connecticut Journal that <
the honorable Richard Skinner, the present
Governor of Vermont, was, about twenty

Making money rapid!if.—On Monday last
was deposited in the Mint at Philadelphia,
for reco'mage, Foreign Gold to the amount
of three hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
It was coined into half eagles on Tuesday,
deposited in Bank the same evening, and
forwarded on Wednesday, by the Stage, to
Boston. So says a Philadelphia paper.

cember thereafter, and which said promissory
note was endorsed by said James Rousseau to
said John McKinwc or order, and by said John
McKinnie to this petitioner.
On motion, it is ordered, Hint the principal,
interest and cost due on said mortgage, be paid
into this court w ithin twelve months from this
date, otherwise the equity of redemption in am)
to said mortgaged premises will be thenceforth
forever barred nnd foreclosed ; and it is further
