A NEW IMPROVED
Patent Right for Sale#
« Y virtue of Letters Patent lo me, granted on the
1 -fell day of May. 1836, for my improvement in
the circular saw' mill, 1 ii«*w idler for sale the right
by counties, or by the single mill, lor the Slate of Geor
gia alone. Tim mill is designed for horse power, and
is simple ill its construction there being hut little mu-
r.kiuery about it, abd can he built bv any good joint
workman. The cost (If the mill will not exceed $650
or$7<>0; nnd> indeed, the actual cost, or money re
quired to build one of these mills, with a great many
men, will not exceed that of the cotton machine now
hi use in this Slate, for when the farmer can have
much of the work done in building a cotton machine,
he can also have much of the woijc done iu building
one ot these mills, and thereby save the paying out ol
•nme two or three hundred dollnrs. It is believed that
one good draught horse will saw the rise ol a thousand
feet of timber iu a day ; at any rate, the inventor of this
improvement will warrant two horses to cut twelve
hundred feet in the day, and these horses to stand the
hbor.n well or better than they d" iu picking of cot-
ton. I;> a reasonable time there will lie a model mode
snd kf ’ in Columbus, where it may he seen.
W. J. M'GEliEE, Patentee.

as any part of Georgia, high and pleasant.
Can I meet with a purchaser, 1 will sell 45 or 50
likely NEGROES, among them a blacksmith; and
also a lot of farm horses, Arc. Arc.
Any person wuming such a situation can and
examine for themselves. a% a detail is unt^^Aary.

A goddess! but a goddcM who descends
To make her human mate iunhorinl with her love!
Oh! fhir it* tb«* bright Imwv when tWtuno smiles.
And the fond world is kind, eudull is gey,
And she the gayeet, fondest of the throng,
Playful nnd wil’d, voluptuous, delicate!
Iu tha world’s sunny garden of all joynnee
A dazzling huHerffv, ait airy ftiwn!
A tliiiig to ho indulged, and lightly chased;
Caught, hut not cupiured; ransomed with a kiss;
Her word, her glance, a law, and her capriee
Reason complete; hut fnirer, fairer still,
When the dark clouds spread o’er oui .-drilling life,
lo sickness and in sorrow und in toil;
Wh<*n by the suffering coach she sweetly tends, .
With step that yields uo sound, and eye that claims no-
sleep,
Deeming devotion duty. Beauteous being!
Who allures our grief, nnd, slmriiifj, soothes the pang;
For then man feels, ’mid all his misery,
Bliss still remain-- with such a minim rant;
And labor, with no guerdon but her love,
Is not inglorious: but in that fell hour—
Too oft (lie dooming of tho child of song,
And those quick spirits whose creative brain
Raise up the demon they Cannot cotinpl—
lu that fell hour of ivgonv nnd hate,
When men are wolves, and the wild earth a waste,
And our immea ration, and our forma
The scutli of blinded zealots, then most fair!
Most beuutiftil! For, when ull desort us,
Art thou most fuithftil; und calumnious tongues
But mako thine own sweet lips more firm and .food!'
