six o’clock, A. M. which will convey the
passengers to that place. Only eight will

tiiining upwards of fifty square feet of sur
face, including all the recent discoveries.
2. A Horizontal Tellurian, Lunarian and
Edipsamm, the Earth’s Orbit performing a
course «f forty-feet, with an elegant Zodiac
fifty-four feet in circumference.
3. A Vertical Transparent 'Tellurian, with
designs of tho Four Seasons, and a double
Zodiac, ts circumferronee thirty feet.
4. A Trats parent Climate Instrument, am-
bracing four Zones of the Celestial Sphere,
forty-fiw* feet in circumference.
ft. A splendid Transparent Orrery, con
taining tin* Sun, with all tin* Planets and
Satellites, filly feet in circumference
ft and 7. Tivo elegant Transparent Plan-
ispheres of the visible Starry Heavens, for
ty-five feet in circumference, (one with the fi

out) they can be rectified to time, and to
any place in the Atlantic States of the
Union.

of Solar Systems, thirty feet in circumfer
ence.
With smaller instruments and Mathemat
ical auxiliary Diagrams, amounting in num
ber to nearly forty.
The whole of this Apparatus has been
constructed at great expense, either by the
Lecturer, or under his immediate inspec
tion, and it is esteemed by competent jud
ges better calculated to elucidate this sub
lime science than any yet exhibited to the
public.
Mr. Goodacre hopes to arrive in Geor
gia in the curly part of February, and pled
ges himself to use his utmost exertions to
merit a continuance of that, liberal patron
age which has been conferred on his Lec
tures in London. Liverpool, Boston, New-
York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washing
ton. Richmond, this city, and other places
on both sides the Atlantic, where in the
throe years he has travelled as a public
Lecturer, he has had the honour of deliv
ering his Lectures.

The Colonels or command

of the First Brigade, First Di
vision, Georgia Militia, are or
dered to have their respective
Regiments and battalions, un
der arms at the times and pla
ces, which may be directed by
the Inspector of the Brigade,
for the purpose of being trained
and instructed by hint, in the
exercise, nnd evolutions pre
scribed by Congress.
The General will review the Militia in
each County, and will notice in public or
ders, the appearance and conduct of each
corps ; giving all proper praise where it is
due, and censuring without reserve, any
misconduct or negligence on the part oft hr
officers or privates under his command.
However unpleasant it may be, it will
not be preteruiitted, under any circumstan
ces to enforce the provisions of the Militia
Law, to its fullest extent, against all who
may render themselves liable to its penal
ties.
The inspector is charged with the pro
mulgation of these orders, and the most
punctual at ention to the performance of
the important duties of his station, upon
which mainly depends tike discipline of the
Brigade.

pany and non-commissioned officers of the
Bryan County Batt alion—And on the 2d the
review and inspection of the Battalion.

M. a convention of the field, staff, compa
ny ami non-commissioned officers of the 1st
Regiment (City of Savannah) and on the
nth April, the review and inspection of the
Regiment.
It is required, nnd ordered, that all offi
cers, non-commissioned officers, and pri
vates be armed and accoutred according to
law, except such as belong to Volunteer
Corps, whose equipments shall be in con
formity with the rules for the government
of the corps. Field Officers, with their stufl*,
of this brigade, are required to attend the
reviews and inspection within their respect
ive commands. All officers will be provided
with their commissions on the day ofinspec-
tion and review, and those commanding
ompanies are ordered to furnish the Ad
jutant at least five days previous to the re
view nnd inspection, as above ordered, with
nn exact return of their respective compa
nies ; which returns will be consolidated by
the Adjutant, the same to be delivered to
me at the commencement of the inspection
of the Battalion. After the review and in
spection, such further exercises and man-
ouvres, will be performed as muy be re
quired by the Commanding-General.
