About five years ago, on my paisnge from
ilordcnux, during the month of January, from
mprudent exposure on deck, I was seised
with a violent fever. Having no medical at-
'endants on board, I wms compelled to bear
it, as I might for two weeks, when on my ar-
ival at Charleston, S. C. it was treated as
yphus. The r.kill of my Physician subdty
