About five years ago, on my passage from
Bordeaux, dnring the mouth of January, fijom
imprudent exposure on deck, I was seized
with a violent fever. Having no medical at
tendants on board, I was compelled to bear
it, as I might for two weeks, when on my ar-
ivnl at Charleston, 8, C. it was treated as
Typhus. The skill of my Physician subdued
the fever, but Pl.onix-Hke, the terminal Vrtt
