two ounce* of Cooper’* Refined American Isin
glass, which should bo first soaked in cold water
for two hours; drain off that water, then take two
quart* of cold water, one and a half pound of su
gar, put in it the white of three eggs, thojuicooT
three good size! lemons, tho peal of one, a stick
of cinnamon, t little nutmeg, orango peal, or
other spice to suit the taste; stir oil tho ingredients
well together while cold, then boil the whole
ina.** four or five minutes, and then pour it
through ttJcty Bag; wlroli it may be put into
glasses or mould*, and when cold, will he fit for
use. Tiro mould* should he first wet with u lit
tle white of egg uud water just before the jelly
is put iu them, ui order to umko it easy to turii
them out on plates.
The Jelly Bag is made of flannel 8or 10 inches
across the openug. and about half u yard, deep,

net of duty in regard of suffering humanity, but
as one of justice towards you, it* proprietor.
For ten years 1 was most seriously afflicted
with Diapepsiu, nnd its various complications, no
much so, indeed, that I was often unfitted for
business one or two day* iu tlie week. I suffered
mostly from disordered digestion and a painful
affection of the bowels, connected with the most
troublesome aud obstinate costiveness, the parti
cular* of which it would bo out of place here to
