Sir—I have analyzed your Gloats and Bar-

I consider it a public udvantngo, and of great
importance in the medical world,.that, by your
mode of preparation, a valuable, fine, mucila

a fmv minutes.
I have also analyzed Homo samples,—imita

In all cases of coughs, colds, asthmas, aud

have been followed by the most alarming con-

Baltimore County, Feb. 14/7* 1829.
Gentlemen—I feel it.ruy duty to acknowl
edge the groat benefit I have derived from tho
use of Do La Monterat’s Columbian Vegeta-
bio .Specific. I do not like to speak of the
Medicine iu the exulted terms in which I esti
mate it, I will, therefore, as briefly us possible,
give a history of my own situation, with tho
effects produced by litis valuable medicine.—
I have been, for the last five or six years, la
boring under a pulir " “
nouncod to be such
chin, during which tune
many physicians, taken much medicine, but
all to but little purpose. Tho 12th of March,
1828,1 puked blood for Uni first time, nml con
tinued so to do for several days iu succession,
and on the 14th of the sumo month was con-
fined to my hod, where I lay for two months
until I whs reduced to such n state of debility,
that my friends began to despairof my recove
ry. 1 hud made uso also of all tho popular
remedies without benefit, and having acciden
tally heard of this Specific, I determined to
give it a trial, anticipating from tho uso of it,
no bet ter result than had attended tho uso of
all the remedies 1 had taken; but in this I was
happily disappointed. At my very lowest
state! commenced the use of this Specific.—
.1 took the first duso at night in a little herb ten,
sweetened, which threw mo in a gontlo per-
spiratiou and procured for me a good night’s
rest. I continued to take tho medicine ns di
rected, and in about fivo days iny cough was
completely stopped aud have not had any re
turn since. I tun now perfectly satisfied of
the superior quality of this Specific over every
other medicine offered for the enro of the
above disease. You arc at liberty to uso this
bitter in any way you nmy think proper.—
Yours respectfully,
(Signed,) JOHN R. ELLICOTT,
. Baltimore, Feh. 19/ft, 1829
I, Joseph N. Ruckle, do hereby certify, that
for upwards of six months,.I was soverdly af
flicted with a pain in my breast, nccompnined
with a very bad cough and short ness of breath,
and every indication (in tho opinion ofa plus-
ician) of approaching consumption; after
having boon persuaded by my parents, I was
induced to make trial of Do La Monterat’s
Colombian Vegetable Specific, and tho uso of
three bottles completely restored mo to health.
