Cincinnatt, December 21.—Mr. Jesse
. Grant, father of the President, and
Postmaster at Covington, Kentucky, has
been paralyzed. He fell in the Post-
office and lay insensible for au hour; but
revived.
Tiie train on the Little Miami Hail-
road collided with a wagon containing
ten women. A boy named Hunt was
killed and Mrs. Walker of Tennessee was
injured.

Memphis, December 21.—A person

children whom he saw running down to

has applied for Federal troops, fearing
that the oolored militia would fraternize
with the insurgents. Every white roan
who is able to obtain a conveyance lias
left the county.
