dow of Samael Bofwood, deceaf-

y her letters of adminiftracion on the Estate
of the said deceased, setting forth in her

by fire : That the said will being dc
ftroyed, the said petitioner was incapable of a&ing in be
half of the estate of the said deceased : That the creditors
of the said estate were continually dilhefling the fame, and
thofc indebted thereto.denicd to.difcharge taeir legal debts
due to laid estate : That for these reasons, the good of the
creditors and the heirs of the said estate, lhc prayed admi
nistration thereof might be granted to her: Thele are
therefore to cite-and aduonuTi all and lingular the kindred
and creditors of the said Samuel Bofwood to be and appear
before me, in the Court oT Ordinary of the province a
forefaid, on Saturday the 31st day of this instant March,
to ftievv cause, if any they have, why letters of administra
tion should not be granted to the said petitioner.

of March, in the year of our Lord 1781, and in the

RAN AWAY from the above plantation, a
likely NSGRO LAD, named Bktnce, about lS
years of aje, his completion a lßtic ycllowifli, speaks a
little thick, French as well as Englilh ; he is reported to
have been put into the Provost a little before the liege of
Savannah, from whence he is supposed to have made hi*
escape: he is fufpefted to have changed his name to
James, fays he is a free Negro, and has baen seen about
Skidawav 5 he has wrought fome time with a carpenter,
and is verydiandy in a boat. A reward of five guineas will
be given on his being delivered at the aforefaid plantation
to James Tims, or to the Hon. Martin Jollic, Esq. in
Savannah.

give fatisfaflion to those who may be pleased to employ

RAN AWAY from the fubferiber between Pensacola
and the Lower Creeks, A NEGRO FELLOW,
country born, abpot 18 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high,
formerly belonged to James M‘Queen, trader in the Lower
Greeks,
carried off with him a very neat riffle gun belonging to the
fubferiber, and also a dun mare-belonging to the late Mra
David Holms and Cos. merchants in Pensacola. It is sup
posed the said Negro has made the best of his way for
Georgia ; I therefore offer a reward of ten dollars to any
person or persons who will take up the aforefaid Negro,
and deliver him to me or Mr. Robert Holms, or feoure him
in any of the gaols in Georgia.

CAME to my plantation on Great Ogechee the 3d of
March, 1781, TWO NEGROES, both of the Ebo
Country, who fay they belong to James Stanyard at Stono
in South Carolina, and that they have been run away a
long time; one of them is a small black fellow, named
Billy, about 35 years old; the other a stout yellow wench,
named Sue, about 35 years of age. The owner may have
them bv applying to me at Ogcchec.

RAN AWAY from the fubferiber the beginning of

A Negro Fellow, named Dick,
’ formerly the property of Arthur Carney, deceased, had on
when he went away a, pair of new yellow cloth soldiers
breeches with a number on the buttons, anew felt hat,
and o*n ibrig fhi 11, a homespun jacket with buttons of the
fame, speaks very bad Engliih, and probably cannot tell
his maftrr's name, was at Mr. Good’s plantation at South
Newport about ten days ago, and which he then left in
company with his wife and a chill about a month old, and
a Negro fellow named Morris, belonging to the said estate,
A reward of a guinea, and all reafouable expences, will be
paid on delivering him to Mr. Rolfes at Ogechee Ferry,
or at Ebenezcr to Jacob Biikix*.
. N. B. Any person harbouring him will be profccuted to
the utmost rigour of tfle law.-
WHEREAS a Negro fellow, formerly called Peter,
and now known by the name of Count, i;an avyay
from Denys Myhony, late of Savannah, deceased, on the
9th September last, about 20 years of age, tall and well
mJe, speaks good Englilh, and has a cut through one of
his lips, and it is fufpd&ed that he has a Negro wench
named Kate with him, as flie is his wife, and ran away
from the fuldlriber three days after the said fellow; ffle js
hump-backed, of a yellowilh complexion-, and speaks good
English; whoever deli vers either or both of the said Ne
groes to the fubferiber at Ogechee Ferry, or to the War
den of the Workhouse in Savannah, shall receive a reward
of one guinea for each and all reasonable charges; and if
any person or perfon* harbours either of the said Negroes
after the date hereof he, flie, or they, will be prosecuted
to th utmost rigour of the law.
